"I don't know how to get there" she says of a place we've been to 500 times together yet somehow completely oblivious
I can ride somewhere once and remember how to get there for years. I could drive my wife to the same place for a week straight and she’d have no clue how to get there. That part does drive me crazy
My wife is better at driving than she is at navigating so, if it’s somewhere we’ve never been, she drives.
On our current tangent. Wife just plowed into the work bench when she parked the car in the garage. "I thought it was in park" When we first moved into this house, she backed out of the garage while the garage door was still going up. Of course it was my fault b/c "There is so much stuff in the garage"
The resemblance is uncanny considering what they looked like on their most popular show. From their IMDB pages Spoiler
Just catching up and the wife driving discussion really hit home bc my wife being half Asian has almost killed me a couple dozen times driving.
On the wife driving tangent... I drive 95% of the time, during the other 5% she purposely drives like an asshole so I won’t ask her to drive again. I drove 13 hrs this past Christmas, she made every excuse not to drive, too dark, rainy, traffic, she’s eating, whatever. She ended up driving for 1.5 hrs, blasted music so I could rest and bitched the entire time. Same as everyone else I guess, she has no clue where she is going and definitely can’t tell cardinal directions. I think this is all to get me not to ask her to drive. She has a new thing right now. Her car is in the shop, so she is using mine. She’ll call me when she gets home and say “do you want to come outside and park your car, bc I’m going to hit something”. It’s unreal. I feel better talking about it now
The wife is a fine driver but my only issue is she never pulls over when there is something interesting on the side of the road out in the trash, i can’t count how many times I had to wait to get home and go back out only to find it was gone. I still am salty about the metal 55 gal drums I missed out on last summer.
My wife is, luckily, a really good driver and she makes subtle comments when I drive that Piss me off so I let her drive everywhere we go. It’s actually quite pleasant.
