But I make burgers at home constantly. I don't really ever make a chicken or fish sandwich at home. That's basically my go to move when I order anywhere. Will I make this at home? No? Alright I'll have that.
Pretty much the same. I'll grill brats, burgers, and do some ground beef almost every weekend for some meal preps.
Still interesting to me to see the Culver's fascination. Nothing wrong with it and it's definitely better than Freddy's, it's just odd to see. If Runza were to ever expand, you all would go crazy... nevermind what you think about the actual namesake food of the restaurant, their burgers are head and shoulders better than Culver's or Freddy's or Steak N Shake for that matter.
Waiting on food at Culver’s during COVID always feels like maybe they forgot, but eventually they show up at your car. Arous here you don’t even get custard at the window anymore.
I propose a meat off at the midway point between these two new rivals. HyVee parking lot, Altoona, IA.
Are you saying that because you love Culver's or some other reason? Have you had a burger from Runza?
I love Culver’s. I’ve never even heard of a runza but we got five guys here. I’m not going anywhere close to Nebraska(?) so this is moot my guy.
I see. Culver's is good for sure. Better than 90% of other fast food burgers but it's definitely a step down from Runzas burgers. Five Guys burger is better than either but technically that's fast casual with no drive thru so different category/experience.
No. They have the weirdest location selection strategy ever. They are a Nebraska company so they're everywhere here. Then they have 1 store in some small ass random town in Iowa. 1 store in Lawrence, Kansas, and 2 stores in Denver area.
runzas actually runzas are so terrible if their burgers are actually good it makes even less sense at how bad the runza is so i refuse to believe the burgers are good
There were some Nebraska folks near us in the visitors section when we went in 2012 and they offered my buddy and I runzas. I’m not going to pretend it was anything mind blowing but I’d eat another.
You're being dramatic. Runzas aren't great to me either but calling them terrible makes no sense unless you're a vegan or something like that. I mean it's just bread, ground beef, and cabbage. And yes, it is weird that their burgers are great considering their name.
Their burgers are the best fast food burger I’ve had. It’s as simple as that for me (Culver’s kickass and blows places like in and out away). Runza’s burgers are fresh, never frozen beef, made simple where the beef shines. It’s like a classic burger from a 60’s drive-up burger stand. Even their runzas are fresh, it might not be your cup of tea, but a fast food place that uses fresh ingredients is awesome.
Culver’s is the best fast food burger I’ve ever had. And I’m from Missouri so I’m not even doing that dumb regional burger chain pride thing TMB loves to do
Runza is a mediocre/just okay fast food restaurant. I get the Nebraska/regional love for it though. Whataburger gets that same kind of love from me due to growing up in Texas but I can also admit that Whataburger isn’t the best fast food joint even though it’s my favorite.
The one opened up by me has like 30 cars in the drive thru and parking lot full starting at like 430pm. It's nuts
They started online ordering recently. All the wait, none of the annoying drive through. It’s a small victory.
i lived here nearly 15 years before going to one and i don't really know why it took so long. they're now our ultimate cheat day go-to
I’ve only done it once but I think you just had to confirm your arrival and then either enter a spot number or car description.
