Believe Jeff Ireland has really improved our draft scouting. I keep waiting for the season where all Mickeys contract cap maneuvering finally comes due and we have to field a practice squad for 200% of the salary cap
Of course not, but we've been 12-4/13-3 for the past 3-4 years and haven't gotten the #1 seed. We're fucking due. Taysom Hill has this team 10-2/11-2, and Brees is healthy. What do we do? I think Brees will come back as the starter, and we'll just see Hill a lot more.
If Hill can get these wins I think this injury/shoulder rest for Brees will be nice heading into late December / playoffs/
The saints are my oasis in a sports fandom desert. Just as long as they don’t disappoint in heartbreaking fashion down the road in games of consequence, everything should be fine
That was sad. Glad we won and all also glad we ran Murray more than Kamara today. Save the studs for when we play teams with a pulse or for the playoff stretch. With Tampa losing, we should have a 4 game lead in division after today
What Sean Payton, Saints had to say on Taysom Hill, cardboard fans, more after Broncos rout Taysom Hill's best passing performance it was not, but that was part of a the Saints' late-arriving plan. That's what coach Sean Payton repeated when asked questions about his quarterback's 78-yard passing performance in an otherwise convincing win over the Broncos. "Taysom played this thing just how I wanted him to play it," Payton said. "And it doesn't have to be aesthetically pleasing to be effective. The job is to win, and he did a good job of that." The game-manager plan of attack was driven largely by the Broncos' lack of any quarterback on its roster due to coronavirus issues. The Saints employed a run-heavy attack, with Hill chipping in 44 rushing yards and a pair of touchdowns for the second consecutive week. The Saints relied on a stout defense facing off against practice squad wide receiver Kendall Hinton and a large array of wildcat snaps. The defense delivered with a pair of interceptions and a forced fumble, while holding the Broncos to just 112 total yards and six first downs. When asked whether he felt some sympathy for the Broncos for having to play the game under the circumstances, he made sure to mention the only faces looking down from the seats in Denver. "Look this is a challenging year," Payton said. "I felt bad for the cardboard fans. But it is what it is."
They always call that on us Edit: taysom, can’t fumble there 2nd edit: never in doubt, get well soon Drew
If Taysom can stop fumbling the ball he's played well. Need JackRabbit and PRob back next week, I did not like watching PJ Williams cover Julio. I guess even if they are still banged up, at least the Eagles don't have shit for WRs. Haven't heard, but I think Armstead should be back next week.
Sounds like Drew might play next week. Not sure if it’s worth it against a putrid Eagles team but hope he’s fully healed up before he comes back. We need to hang on to that one seed though.
Yeah that seahawks loss was a nice surprise, need a packers loss somewhere though to have a buffer, most likely for that chiefs game
Eagles front d line is really good. OL needs to play well if Hill gets the nod. Good news is their O is awful thougj
Packers have Detroit, Carolina, Titans and Bears left. Good chance they can win out. Titans May be the one they drop though
Yeah I think we drop one more game to finish 13-3, which is still incredible. We can beat the Packers. I worry about teams like the Rams and Seahawks. Just don’t like those matchups.
It's dumb only 1 team gets a bye now, and unfortunately, I think we end up the 2 seed. Need the Pack to drop 1 of these remaining games, and they'll be solid favorites in all of them.
I think Tennessee can beat GB if Henry does his thing, but it’ll be tough for us to win out but we can do it. KC hasn’t looked great lately and our defense has played really well during this stretch. Need to get/stay healthy though
I fucking love Kamara’s grill. He’s already one of my favorite players in Saints history, glad we paid him. Is he our best RB ever? Think he’s already above Deuce

Going to need a version of Drew we haven't seen in the post-season in a while to make a Super Bowl run.
I think we can get to GB and once there anything is possible. Don’t see us getting further than though. Really need GB to be upset in semi round
Agreed. I think our defense has been peaking at the right time. Just a matter of the offense being able to get back into a rhythm that they really haven't had this year yet. If we have to go to GB I think we're done, but if not I think we have a chance to get to a SB.
Hope Brees and Cook go back to the locker room to see the red cards hanging in their lockers I’m so angry at Cook
We were driving up a touchdown. Catches a slant and running in the open field. He runs with the ball away from his body and gets it stripped yet again. Instead of likely being up 2 scores, Tampa goes down and scores and all momentum is lost. Then we abandon the run and Brees throws a bunch of turds all over the field.
Please, for the love of Joseph Smith, go out and get a qb so we don't have to watch the Taysom show next year. Who are our big FAs this off season? Can we go get Deshaun Watson?
It would take draft capital we don’t have and we are in cap hell so unless he just demanded to be here....it’s prob not happening.
