correct, politico is the reality TV version of politics 99.9999% of the time, it's toxic and dumb and they don't vet their reporting half as well as they should they just end up being mouth pieces for their sources
the biden body double they used when real joe biden died in april beat trump so there is no way to prove either of us was wrong
Should draw attn to some of the dumber shit in that tweet. Namely, Dems allegedly caught flat footed with no plan because they had zero expectation of winning in GA.
It's going to be a struggle if you think every single thing is in bad faith as well. Saying that he should quit fucking around doesn't warrant some knee-jerk "lefties don't live in the real world!" reaction. Posting a tweet isn't me freaking out and feeling validated that Biden is going to do anything to improve anyone's lives.
I promise I won’t think all critiques will be bad faith. Just maybe refrain from posting the Playbook on the first morning of his presidency
Do I need to get an approved list of news outlets from you before I post anything else? You frequently post a tweet dump in these threads as if you've carefully combed through each and every source.
i guess the current argument being reported is he wants this fight to happen now and not lets say over COVID relief bills or something where it'd be real easy to shred which sure, but man you're really playing a weak hand if that's your calculation
She believes all the stupid shit people believe online. She is the YouTube comments section made into a person.
I guess I’m smart enough to not wear kente cloth to show support for BLM and also want M4A so you have a point
Desantis winning in 2018 and the sheer amount of relatively educated people I found out where ok with all this awful shit was a big reason I was adamant there was no way in hell this state goes blue. Mind you I live in a fucking blue county.
Common sense would dictate that Biden probably will have many little disagreements about best policy, it's not outrageous to think he may be irritating leadership from time to time. Feel free to disagree, I don't see that tweet as being complete BS right on its face.
A coworker voted for him but would not vote for him again. A lot of the people that work for me have seen the light after I subtly drop hints. "I thought DeSantis cared about the economy? Why isn't he letting us get vaccinated, we're the ones working!?!" They were all anti-vax as well until I slowly started making it seem like only hard working people get the vaccine because it's American and good for the economy (which it is). If anyone has any other good ways to bring things up like this without saying how bad the other side is, I'm all ears. Edit: I realized I didn't vote for him in 2018
That the GOP benefits more than the democrats from the filibuster being removed because the GOP has the federal courts to act as a safeguard against democrats’ policies.
We should probably just ignore Georgia Q lady because she's going to be bullet proof in her district and will be in Congress for a long time.
Yeah this was all known for a while now. Is the news jar the specific instances of her “liking” things?
but the filibuster being removed makes reforming the courts very easy and the courts would know this, so they wouldn't get out over their skies. which is how the balance between the branches is largely held, with the knowledge the other ones have juice. in the absence of those branches having or wielding their power the other branches increase in power.
So much of the media isn’t sure what to do. Without trumps tweets controlling the narrative, so many aren’t sure how to report or what to focus on.
Yes, but at 50 senators there’s no way the democrats have enough votes to reform the courts, not as long as Manchin is one of those 50. McConnell knows that the democrats are no where near as bold as the republicans are, they may rage for the cameras but when it’s all said and done they prefer sticking to norms vs governing.
probably dont need to keep going back and forth on this, but the GOP did very little with their trifecta so ???
