Mephisto is Agnes' (Harkness) husband. That's my theory (though I'm sure many others had the same idea). I don't know if we'll see him or just allude to him, before he takes the stage in Dr. Strange 2.

BigPig just throwing it out without spoilers...I think he might be playing Vision in Wanda’s mind. Agatha would be a good character and Mephistopheles would be the opposite. Don’t think they would be husband/wife. But the devil is going to show up sooner rather than later.

Bringing Mephisto into MCU canon would be such a ballsy move. But I don’t doubt for a second Feige would do it. Dude swings for the fences with absolutely zero fucks given and it always seems to work.

I’m fairly certain in the dinner scene, Wanda was breaking out of her control/trance state and started choking one of her captors while the other keep screaming stop it.

It's a slow burn. 98% of it is a very faithful recreation of an I Love Lucy-esque (episode one) or Bewitched-esque (episode two) show, with only 2% being teases of something sinister going on behind the scenes. I think it might end up going into some weird and psychedelic places, but not yet.

The funny thing is, if you're not into superhero stuff, but you like Twilight Zone-like surreal sci-fi, then you'll probably dig it because there's nothing Wanda or Vision do in the first two episodes that is exclusively "superhero" stuff. It's stuff you'd see on a cornball mid-60s TV show like Bewitched.

I might of unlocked a huge plot point, very highly doubtful but still watch out:

Love love love when the characters break and use their actual voices and not their tropey ones. Also the first Sakovian accent from Wanda since AoU on the final “Pietro”. The aspect ratio change at the end was great. I wonder when the contractions were happening if it was Wanda losing control or Wiccan acting up (and yes, Wiccan would still be Wandas powers by proxy) No way Herb is Mephisto right? I went back to watch the scene last week and he did have “Big Red” gum (also, Vision broke when he said “someone’s a communist” maybe talking about Wanda and Sakovia? Agatha/Mephisto/Pandemonium don’t have Eastern Euro ties). But it looked like Herb and Agatha were colluding and if he was Mephisto I’d think they would be competing. The only other mystic being that could be helping her would be Strange from what I’m thinking. OH HOLY SHIT. Unless it’s not mystic but psychic, Prof X of course, but Franklin Richards fits the storyline 100%, how fn epic would that be. WandaVision brings in F4 AND Mutants in 1 stroke. And we’re the lights around the compound them trying to lock in her reality? Because if so those things are exploding in an episode or two.

Scouring the internet for clues. One interesting thing I saw. I guess Wiccan and Speed were referred to as only William and Thomas while they were just Wandas manifestations. It wasn’t till they were reincarnated as actual humans that they were then called Billy and Tommy. So calling them that out the gate maybe means they’re avoiding the whole “demonic absorption and reincarnation” storyline.

That slight glitch/rewind was honestly one of the chilliest scenes I've seen.

No music cues, no lighting change but still just straight up terrifying.

I adored the first two episodes for having the commitment to use their time-setting to tell a "TV Episode story." We had a very I Love Lucy-esque plot in episode one, a very Bewitched-like plot in episode two, but in episode three there was just a Brady Bunch aesthetic without the plot. Granted, you can't really have a Brady Bunch plot without the children, and almost every other family show in the late-60s and early-70s had children as well. Options were limited, but I would have preferred something resembling a point-A to point-B sort of plot. Instead it was just a series of scenes that moved us from the ending of episode two to the beginning of episode four.

That being said, the moments that stood out---two in particular---were worth the price of admission: First was the glitch that Wanda (presumably) caused as Vision started to remark how "something's not quite right." Instead of a big, showy "rewind" like at the end of the last episode, there was a video frame stutter and a redo of the scene. The second came when Geraldine mentioned Pietro getting killed by Ultron. The hypnotic way she said it makes me think she's more than just a plant by S.W.O.R.D. and instead was somehow mentally-trapped in that place the same with all the others. The mention of Ultron---mentioned by Wanda first, mind you---seemed to snap them both out of the illusion, and what followed was one of the tensest and creepiest scenes in the entire MCU.

it's about to get going in episode 4, and this one really started setting things off.

There is a reason Press only got the 1st 3 episodes, and to avoid spoilers so next week's will be good. This is setting the stage for Phase 4 and she's going to trigger the X gene for sure.

I'm starting to think it's a S.W.O.R.D. prison and all the neighbors are high risk super heros/villans. The hexagons are a metaphor for cells and Wanda is taking over the prison.

That's why they say Geraldine doesn't have a home, because she isn't a prisoner.

There’s a lot of explaining to do. Ive gone back and forth on who is controlling the illusion. They’ve made it seem like Wanda is a few times and doesn’t want to be snapped out of the dream because out there, Vis is dead.

IF someone else is controlling it, her lashing out at Geraldine for snapping her out of it doesn’t currently make sense. It also doesn’t make sense for SWORD to be controlling it, since Geraldine went in with a SWORD logo necklace. Unless she just fucked up by mentioning Ultron and someone else is dropping the SWORD hints to Wanda in varying ways.

Whatever the case, writers have played this wonderfully close to the vest.

I’d also like to thank Liz Olsen for not being a batshit crazy child star like her sisters because she’s absolutely lovely.
