The only way any of these Republicans vote to convict is if they are absolutely certain they have to votes. None of them are voting to convict because, if Trump survives it, each one of them get primaried for breaking party lines. Rubio is running in 2022. There is no way in hell he votes against Trump.
So, what do you actually think you’re talking about? Let’s maybe clarify what you think and what your assumptions are rather than just outright trying to defend stupid posts
The only question that should ever be asked of these people on a news outlet is “why do you hate democracy?”
We can't convict him b/c then we'll have to sic our insane Q posse on the US again. - GOP criminal syndicate
How can it be done in a more genuine way? Think I’ve been fairly consistent. Serious question. I really do think it’s just something that people don’t want to hear, or at least something that’s not heard often on here so it’s jarring Edit: pretty sure nobody wants to read this, take to PM?
Portman in Ohio will get primaried in 2022 if he votes against Trump. It will be Romney, Sasse, and maybe another one or two. They aren’t going to get anywhere near the total they need because Trump still controls the votes in these primaries.
You insist on playing the role of enlightened centrist, and so you rush to get your gotcha moment instead of focusing on the substance of the point you think you're making. Rinse. Wash. Repeat. I'm honestly not sure it can be done by you. You're pretty set in this way. I mean look at this post you just made. You're still doing the same thing. You don't have magic eyeballs. You can't see things that others can't or don't want to see.
Not to find enjoyment in the failure of others but I have to admit, I'm just happy it's not a Clemson fan this time.
Whammy I gave you an article to read that would help you understand this. Shut the fuck up and read it. Biden was pushed by activists and specifically and most importantly "INDIGENOUS LEADERS". God damnit man https://www.theguardian.com/us-news...ess-pipeline-joe-biden-indigenous-environment I actually try to help you and you continue to act like an asshole. Fucking stop
And that's fine, they're admitting they backed the coup and the media and the democrats need to use that against them. Once again, if you can get your enemies on record saying they're fine with a violent coup against the US Government you fucking do it.
Using one press release to extrapolate to all native populations or representative vs looking at support for climate initiatives among these groups and the huge activism wing within these groups to try to make broad gross claims is easy. The former is just confirming your priors, the latter requires a little education and work. Try the latter occasionally Whammy
fwiw this is basically a perfect example of why the lefty critique of identity politics holds up, among uneducated people it leads to bad conclusions when separated from material analysis so just focus on the material analysis first
Magic eyeballs It’s undeniable this thread is ideologically wayyyy more homogenous than the actual US electorate. You don’t need magic eyeballs to see that
You very literally are the one making this identity politics! You drew bad conclusions because your brain works in that framework devoid of substance. If you had any framework for the material analysis or even just history of climate activism you'd know native groups have been ahead of the curve by decades and support climate policies at higher rates than basically any group in America. They've been at the forefront of direct action on the issue more than any other group. The capitalist class in native groups are always going to push back against this, and using their disapproval of climate policies to make the claims you did is very literally doing their work for them and why you shared an O+G lobbyists tweet about it.
True, we’ve ridden this place of the 30something percent of the country that supported a racist misogynistic traitor who tried to start an insurrection after getting soundly defeated in a fair election. You act like that’s a gotcha or a bad thing.
Also that it draws away attention from establishing the class consciousness necessary to make foundational changes to the system.
You're suggesting that the thread does. Also, treating this thread as a monolith given where all your bullshit started is just perfect.
tbh i had no idea who that was, perused his twitter him and thomas chatterton williams telling each other how great they are annndd now I know!
Good. I know too many people who have been forced out for being trans (and gay for that matter). This policy was never anything more than bigoted and spiteful.
Yeah, "Walt Disney was a Republican" is a hell of a take considering Republicans at that time were the Jim Crow party.
