man the captain america/natasha/sam vs winter soldier fight scene in the streets during Cap 2 is so fucking good
Man, the last 45 minutes of Endgame is just the best shit ever Seeing how it wasn’t easily wrapped up and Wanda is just royally fucked in the head makes it even better
Struck the perfect balance between giving the whole Infinity Saga a definite and satisfying conclusion, while also leaving enough loose threads to pull in subsequent years. Just marvelous moviemaking all around. It's such a wonderful time to be a comic book fan.
I know the superhero glut has had a lot of unintended consequences in the movie world, but what they’ve been able to pull off has been nothing short of incredible.
assuming it's similar to the Mando show, my favorite part is seeing how much the source material means to the people involved.
I like how they also saw that the MCU was going in the direction of the multiverse after earning it with a 24 movie and several TV show arc and just said hey look guys Michael Keaton is also Batman still, look we do multiverse too.
It's a constant source of frustration as a DC fan. Almost every example of a "big thing" in comics was done by DC first. They did the big hero team up first, they did the multi-verse first, they did the death of a big character first, on and on it goes. But on film, WB just keeps tripping over its own feet. Considering how WB and Disney are such long time rivals, with Looney Tunes vs Silly Symphonies, Bugs vs Mickey, and now DC vs Marvel, it's beyond frustrating to see one side so consistently shit the bed.
That part of the Mando season 1 behind the scenes interview stuff where Filoni talks for 5+ minutes straight on the prequels and Phantom Menace and the underlying reasons for its importance while everyone else around the table just stares at him was crazy to watch.
Given the name Assembled I'm guessing they'll do one of these for Falcon/Winter Soldier and Loki as well.
DC tries too hard to catch up to the Marvel and needs to just go do their own thing. But they got The Rock, and I think a Black Adam anti-hero is what they need. And DJ is so damn charismatic and knows how to sell a product
Issue with series like AoS, is that it's on a Network. So you have 20-ish episodes and a bunch of filler. I think it was decent but I never stuck with it. And Marvel would have benefited if it were on Disney+, or on Netflix at the time with the other shows, because you would incorporate those character more in the films perhaps... or not have filler and can just do a great condensed season. Season 1 final episodes were great, but you didn't need a bunch of the middle of the season to get there.
im glad that we’re heading to a future where short seasons of prestige TV is the new normal. Yes there will always be 25 episodes a year of NCIS for the olds, but will become more and more rare as the race to 100 episodes becomes less important.
short prestige seasons with zero filler, still on a weekly basis and don't need to binge the next good show from Friday to monday
GoTG vol 2. released at around the same time my dad passed away, to this day I can't get through watching the last 20 mins of that movie.
Episode 1 of the new season of Punisher better be him shooting a QAnon cop in the fucking face so the chuds stop using him as a symbol.
How much smarter is Peter than Miles? Miles has all the Spidey/skills plus invisibility plus venom blast. Can Pete hold his jock?
Peter basically has Tony Stark tier intellect. Not quite Reed Richards Dr. Doom tier but pretty much among the smartest beings in marvel comics.
Clearly but I don’t know about Miles. Obviously he’s smart, he got into Visions and was able to ace all his classes without trying. Just don’t know where he ranks 1v1 with PP intellectually.
Miles is up there in the brains department but gotta defer to Peter in this case until proven otherwise
I think Miles has mostly just been portrayed as "bright for his age" while Peter could have already graduated from MIT at age 15 had he had the resources and connections Tony had.
Peter's intelligence gets underrated because what he "does" isn't really tech based like Iron Man and in most comic runs his regular life isn't in a STEM field like Bruce Banner, Reed Richards, Hank Pym etc.
Same with Black Panther I think in the actual comics, T'Challa is suppose to be much smarter than Shuri.
Shuri is pretty next level and an intelligence tier above T’Challa. But T’Challa is genius tier. He was able to infiltrate and eliminate all of Starks defense tech at Avengers tower. Remember, Stark’s tech was genius on Earth, until it met Wakanda, then it was fine, until Rocket looked at it, he laughed at how primitive Starks tech was.
