i didn’t think dest was bad or good /neutraldog never really went forward (understandable with mbappe) and dembele leaving him 2v1 constantly had some moments where he held his own, and he had some moments where he didn’t could’ve done some stuff better, but he was on an island all day marking the best player in the world imo
Yeah I didn’t think he was terrible or anything just not good either. Probably below average would be a good way to say it but against Mbappé when he’s playing like that; I wouldn’t expect even that of him

I’d argue he didn’t play fine at all, just that he wasn’t necessarily better or worse than the other Barca defenders/collective Barcelona defensive effort. Essentially none of them were fine, which is why they collectively got torched and lost 4-1, even if there wasn’t a clear #1 scapegoat like in other matches.
