Loved the games! I’m pretty sure the first movies actually sucked, but I was at the right age and playing those games enough that I remember enjoying them. I will watch for sure. I don’t know that I would have gone to a theater in a normal year, but having the hbo max option makes it a no brainier.
No one could have possibly enjoyed Mortal Kombat Annihilation. Horrendous movie. Worst film I’ve ever seen in a theater
Yeah just went back and watched the trailers. Should have said I enjoyed the first movie. Have no recollection of the second one
No it fucking isn’t. Raul Julia is out there having a ball as M Bison. He’s great in it. Mortal Kombat Annihilation is on a whole other level.
I absolutely would have skipped this movie if I didn't click on this thread and watch the trailer, and now I just put a reminder on my calendar for April 16th to watch it.
the first Mortal Kombat is one of my all time guilty pleasures. It came on just the other night just as I was going to bed. Wound up staying up an extra hour watching it.
MK:A was awesome because it introduced like 40 characters from the game aside from that it was basura also the animalities in MK:A were incredibly shitty CGI
Me and my friend wrote a mortal kombat script in middle school and tried to get classmates to act in it
When stunt people get together to work on fight choreo, it usually devolves into Mortal Kombat scenarios.
Wrote a WWE script in middle school and acted it out with some friends in front of our Language Arts class. It was awesome.
Was this fucking ILL cutt early 90s banger featured In mortal kombat? I first heard this on jock Jams 1 in an old ass 1997 Mitsubishi 2000gt with the 6 CD player in the back of the car!! Hope Goro and Noob Saibot and Kano are featured prominently. Want this movie to be evil as a norweigan God
That’s some elite tier nose game speaking of nose games apparently Martin sheen did so much fucking coke on the set of apocalypse now he had a heart attack on set in the jungle and had to crawl to a nearby road to get help. Legendary stuff. The production company crew was also stalked by a tiger throughout shooting the film. All time IMO. Not sure martins a big mortal kombat guy though so take that how u will
No, I’m saying that literally Raul Julia had like stage IV terminal cancer while they were filming this, iirc he died like a few months after, you can tell how gaunt and rough he is throughout the movie.
did the math with love in my heart patches. That’s like 125 grams of coke a week. Enviable and exhausting to say the least!!
It was one of those things that was before it’s time. With all the streaming services now doing their own shows, it for sure would have been picked up by someone.
i don't think i ever finished them but the first couple were great wonder if there is a rebirth of the series without them tbh
After watching the director breakdown the trailer I am completely on board with this. The amount of respect for the brand and lore that they had in the film is pretty impressive.
Ba-Rock-a. Besides the movie hopefully being awesome, the best way to shake the franchise’s bad movie stigma is with star power. The Rock is def a stretch. But prob wouldn’t be a tough sell. He’s basically just fangs and forearm blades away from being Baraka already. Shoot for a couple other long shots.. Jason Momoa could pull off Shang Tsung, and just throw a Shao Kahn horned-helmet on Bautista. More realistic but would help credibility.. Katee Sackhoff as Sonya. Jon Bernthal as Kano.
