When Trump was president Israel and Saudi Arabia kept trying to talk Kushner and Trump into going to war with Iran and I’m honestly surprised it didn’t work
Well, thank god that the GOP passed a tax bill that allows working people to deduct the expenses of owning a private plane and yatch.
Maybe it’s been covered, but the Klan guy sounds and looks a lot like the guy who does the MAGA parody videos.
I know I have no idea about any portion of your business but can I just toss a half-formed dipshit take your way for giggles? I'd like to do that. Yours in Yahweh, GoS
I realize that when you get to be a Senator or Representative you want to stay longer than 1 term but holy shit this "well we need to compromise" bullshit is getting old. Especially after watching the fuck you attitude for the past 4 years.
This is always the argument when thing pass at night. No one cares. It is just something for them to say on tv to run clock.
It feels like less than a week ago this dude used precious law enforcement time to run his family and friends to Cancun because it was really cold. Man of the people
theres a lot of shit to get done and they don't want to risk having lapses in unemployment payments if passage gets delayed, so when done being marked up in committee get it passed and get it over to the senate if its a late night
But the senate isn't doing shit with it at 2am. Why not wait 7 hours until 9am? Just seems weird. I get the certification vote at 4am bc of everything that went on that day but a 2am stimulus vote just doesn't make sense to me. Its taken a month to get done, not sure why the rush to do it at 2am on a Saturday morning now. Maybe there's a strategy that I'm missing.
God forbid they work inconvenient hours while making six figures, it's like they were forced to do the job against their will or something
im not enough of a nerd to know despite my reputation, but if you dig through journalists on twitter i'm sure SOMEONE is explaining the required hours and machinations that make a late vote needed to start timers on next steps
Yea I honestly don't care all that much. It's weird to me but probably a good reason for it. As long as it gets passed, cool.
Oh I don't think it has anything with hiding or being embarrassed of anything. 2am is just a weird time to be conducting professional business that doesn't include drinks at a strip club.
yes it’s weird that the “company” that often take weekslong recesses are working outside of normal business hours
it's mainly because it came out of the committee so late in the day and they aren't gonna wait until monday it's happened a few times before
I need these re-done with a theme of "I would've liked to have another stimulus, but since it was passed at 2am I decided against it"
I always come upon this persons Twitter when it comes to racial issues and he is absolutely fucking awful
These idiots went back on having impeachment witnesses so they could enjoy their Valentines Day weekends. They can stay up late.
The recesses make sense if the conceit is that they representatives should go home and talk to their constituents. Course, they are also away from their families. Honestly, a low priority, but also important thing would be to push for a congressional housing dormitories. Living on a congressional salary is certainly doable in DC, but they also maintain a home in their districts. It prices out a lot of people from serving in congress. A lot of the type of people we need serving in congress (teachers and nurses) would have to and do sleep and live in their offices.
You'll only go to horny jail if you've never interacted with Russians. Particularly the women before. They are all crazy in a way unfamiliar to you.
No, ain't. They only thing that truly matters is passing a new Voting Rights Act. We need that because the only that matters is the environment. I know our Texas oil and gas posters get upset, but I want them all out of work yesterday. I'll pay them what we spend on building tanks, but please, shut up.
