Oh, ok. Never mind. I have one and I can get them regularly for around $200. Mixed opinions here, but I love it.
I have no idea what you paid for it or if this is even a serious question, but I probably wouldn't go over 100.
Sipped on a 1994 Wild Turkey 101 8 year tonight. I’m really going to miss that bottle when it’s gone.
This post on a facebook group made me angry: “2019 and 2018 m20 with box. Perfect condition. 9,750 for both plus your label will deliver up to 200 miles from NYC”
Assuming they'll be harder to locate than ECBP, less aged, and more expensive, Brick's hot take of the morning is a resounding "nope."
what? store picks always have a chance to be better than batched whiskey if the person picking is good. Age isn't everything.
This. I imagine it’s going to be run very similar to their barrel program now. I have a couple stores that I know spend time picking their EC barrels. Will be much better than the batched product.
The pricing will be interesting compared to other marks like KC 9 yr picks, normal ECBP, and Old Forester Barrel Proof.
I gotta make a decision later today: 1792 Bib vs that Old Scout store pick I posted the other day. I’m not getting both. I’m cracking open the 1792 FPSP this weekend. Excited to try it . Opened the ECBP last weekend, was excellent.
Agreed on everything you said. But I can get ECBP for $60 fairly easy, I don't expect these are going to be easy to come by and will be priced at a premium. If I can get my hands on one and it's not marked up substantially, I'll grab one. I don't expect that to be the case.
$60 for ECBP? $5 cheaper than MSRP? Sign me up. I expect there will be a lot of picks available and it'll be $50.
In the past two months I've purchased two C920 for $60, and two A121 both for $65. Assumed the latter was just because of the store they were in, but you got me... you know eternally more than me about whiskey.
Yea if its a good bit more than the KC store picks that are 9-12 years (and still some 14-15yr ones floating around) I will just stick with the KC. But if I can find one for retail I will definitely scoop it up.
Yeah I think this is where it gets interesting because you know the KC pick is going to be 120 proof. If the label used for the TTB is any indication these could be up to and even potentially over 135 proof which I'd think would provide more fluctuation to find "special" barrels.
Did not. Last one I got from NCBS was their RR10 pick and should be getting their Jack Daniels Rye pick here soon.
Alabama changed the date the allocated products are released to Saturday. I can only Imagine what lines are going to be now
the lottery worked so well in my opinion. One day a year and I always came home with bottles I liked. Now it’s going to be a monthly shitshow.
They are still doing the lottery for the big batch in November is my understanding. Think this just changed it to when you wouldn’t stumble into a store on a Thursday and get lucky
Are you in the triangle area? I'm relatively new to Durham and still looking for the best spot to find picks.
