I don’t believe it matters if it’s part of the goal build-up, but who the hell knows what you’ll get from week to week.
It’s definitely in the buildup, I’m just saying you never know the match official/VAR official will rule because there’s zero consistency in regards to handballs, particularly those within the box.
We’ve gone back to full Mourinho ball today which sucks. 60% possession for FFC, constantly pinned back in our own half, defensive substitutions when we should be going for a second goal. Just pray we can hang on.
Expecting more of the same vs Palace Sunday. We’ve got to find a way to get some guys rest before the NLD next weekend. Not sure if that’s possible, though.
That's the first time we effectively killed a game in awhile. There were some scary moments for sure, but I thought we did well the last 15 minutes.
Dead legs are starting to set in across the league. Just keep finding ways to get 3 points. Teams that are in 3+ competitions are going to susceptible to dropping points against teams like Fulham that’ll have a week off here and there.
Would’ve been really nice if Liverpool found a goal. Leicester, Liverpool, and United are all varying degrees of shit right now and I can’t imagine West Ham seeing this thing through. Top 4 is still going to be a real challenge, but it doesn’t seem quite as unreachable as it once appeared. We’re going to have to be ruthless from here on out, and our run in is fairly favorable. Still have 6 pointers with Villa (x2), Man U, Everton, and Leicester so we’ll have our chance.
And Chelsea v Everton is up next. We win our game in hand and we’re like 2-4 points off fourth depending on that result.
5 years ago today. This was just as i was getting into soccer, and Spurs as a team. This goal basically cemented my fandom. Couldn’t believe someone could score from this angle. Btw, Dele chasing the ball down and keeping it in play is an underrated part of the play. I wonder if he chases this down today?
I recall the goal, but that was the only good memory. I was watching on my iPad at my daughters first ECNL soccer game and Arsenal got a red card. We were up 2-1 and allowed them to draw while we were up a man. I was so bummed. It felt like a loss.
Yeah I still can't believe we drew that game. If we hold on to win our chances of winning the league that season go a lot higher. Probably still don't win it because spurs, but one can dream. Harry's goal is still an all timer though
I seriously doubt I’ll see a better Spurs squad in my life than the 16-17 club. Sucks we blew it in the FA semis. Still can’t believe Poch started Sonny as a wing back
