#4for40 is not doing so hot lately Now, I'm not saying that anything wrong was done here by ND, but football afterlife has not been kind it seems lately.
Gobaira looks crazy as a Junior...more explosive/bigger/more instinctual...his first 3 games this year show a massive improvement from his soph film where he was already quite good. He's making plays against the run and sacking the QB at an incredible rate per game
Loy's recruiting update Spoiler Notre Dame currently has a Top 5 class according to the 247Sports Composite Team Recruiting Rankings. The Fighting Irish are making noise on a national level on both sides of the ball. Here’s the latest with some of the Notre Dame targets. Notre Dame seems to be doing really well with Bluefield (Va.) Graham three-star receiver Xayvion Bradshaw. The staff has been all over the speedy wideout since offering and have built a strong connection with both Bradshaw and his family. Notre Dame has to be considered a top contender for Hyattsville (Md.) DeMatha Catholic three-star safety Kevin Winston. He’s a tremendous fit on and off the field, and the staff is treating him like a top of the board target. I feel the Irish have the edge in this recruitment as of today. Notre Dame is doing well with Saraland (Ala.) high school three-star receiver Jarel Williams, who seems to be a favorite for much of the staff. He’s one of the more underrated pass-catchers this cycle and Notre Dame seems to be picking things up even more as of late. I still like where Notre Dame stands with Pittsburgh (Pa.) Central Catholic three-star defensive tackle Donovan Hinish. I expect him in the class, which could be one of the best defensive line classes in the country. Notre Dame is a definite sleeper for Naples (Fla.) high school three-star safety / cornerback Devin Moore. He can play both spots and the Irish staff loves his versatility. Keep an eye on the Irish here. Notre Dame is the favorite to land Fresh Meadows (N.Y.) St. Francis Prep School three-star defensive tackle Kaleb Artis. No doubt in my mind the Irish lead, but it’s uncertain whether or not there will be a spot for him come decision day. Buford (Ga.) high school three-star safety Jake Pope is a guy the entire staff likes. He can play in the secondary or even receiver. He’s really talented and the staff is recruiting him as such. I still believe it’ll be Notre Dame or Michigan in the end for Franklin (Mich.) Wylie E. Groves four-star safety Jaden Mangham. He likes both staffs a lot and the Irish are turning up the heat. Notre Dame still looks to be the top school for Boonville (Mo.) high school four-star defensive end DJ Wesolak. Just waiting for him and his friend Tyson Ford, a Notre Dame defensive line commit, to get on campus. That should happen very soon. Notre Dame continues to do really well with Chesapeake (Va.) Oscar Smith four-star safety Sherrod Covil. The staff is in constant communication and believes it can land him when all is said and done. Still looks to be a battle between Notre Dame and Stanford for Arlington (Texas) Martin four-star defensive tackle Ernest Cooper IV. The Irish are doing really well there and have been all over him as of late. I’m expected Memphis (Tenn.) Christian Brothers four-star running back Dallan Hayden to be on campus at Notre Dame soon for a self-guided visit. He doesn’t have a day set yet, but that could happen very soon. Ohio State is the other major threat. I still like where Notre Dame stands with Atlanta (Ga.) Westminster School four-star tight end Holden Staes. I’m a little surprised he hasn’t committed yet, but he’s doing his due-diligence and talking to plenty of schools. He wants to make sure he next choice is the right and final one. I really like Notre Dame’s chances with Fond Du Lac (Wisc.) St. Mary’s Springs four-star offensive lineman Billy Schrauth. I expect him in this class. The staff does as well. Evanston (Ill.) Township four-star linebacker Sebastian Cheeks doesn’t want to commit until after this spring season. When he does make a decision, I expect him to pick Notre Dame. I feel great about Notre Dame landing Traverse City (Mich.) Central four-star linebacker Joshua Burnham this week. Michigan tried to make a move late, but I expect him to be all Irish on Wednesday. Notre Dame is looking to land friends and 7-on-7 teammates in West Chester (Ohio) Lakota West four-star defensive back Jyaire Brown and Lexington (Miss.) Holmes County four-star defensive back Khamauri Rogers. The two talked last week with much of the defensive staff and everyone is forming a strong bond, which is helping a great deal. Notre Dame is battling for Des Moines (Iowa) Southeast Polk four-star safety Xavier Nwankpa. The Irish know Ohio State likely leads, potentially by a large margin, but that isn’t stopping them from pushing hard to flip the script. Numbers are going to be interesting, but Notre Dame still seems to lead for Mission Hills (Calif.) Bishop Alemany four-star linebacker Niuafe Tuihalamaka. He’s another I expect in this class. Notre Dame vs. Michigan still for La Grange Park (Ill.) Nazareth Academy four-star receiver Tyler Morris. The staff is high on him and wants to secure his commitment. Notre Dame remains the sleeper for Hilton Head Island (S.C.) high school four-star linebacker Jaylen Sneed. He’s planning on visiting soon and if that happens, don’t be surprised if the Irish make a big move. 21COMMENTS Notre Dame is still talking weekly with Westerville (Ohio) South four-star receiver Kaden Saunders. He has a tough decision on his hands and he’s not taking it lightly. He’s committed to Penn State, but he has a lot of love for Notre Dame and the coaching staff. It’s something to continue monitoring. we are in on so many top guys that ND is going to have to turn people away (especially on Defense)...this is a very odd feeling
40 player class? Lol I would assume us not taking a commitment from Lil Hinish is a good sign the staff is as optimistic as Loy is
Well that didn’t take long. I liked Dungy https://www.ndinsider.com/football/...cle_ae30ed9f-9bcf-5b88-9616-ec9f1dbd9274.html
Well dont think many people will have a better eye for the game than drew. Broadcasters trying to recapture that tony romo magic i guess
I haven’t listened to the pod but it’s gonna be a huge 2023 day Spoiler Hearing through various sources that Notre Dame is going to have a big virtual recruiting day on Wednesday in the 2023 class. A ton of prospects will be calling in to talk to the Irish staff, and I'm expecting a lot of new offers to go out on that day. The pick of Wednesday of the day for this "event" is because it's St. Patrick's Day. I'm sure we'll be seeing more about this on social media as the staff hypes this up in the coming days. I'm not sure where this idea is all coming from, but I would guess it's a Mike Elston initiative, as he is the new recruiting coordinator. Whether or not you like the takes, ND is rolling on the recruiting front in the 2022 class, and you have to love that they're doing stuff like this in the 2023 class too.
All the ND coaches are tweeting something about promising they will be delivering gold on St. Patrick's day. So must be offers
The way they’ve used it in the past is it’s a dorm used to house another dorm for a year while dorm 2 is being renovated. I think pangborn had been one the last few years. No idea how long this will be, but it seems like they want to change the culture of zahm
So which five starters did it and are going to be punished? I mean which four other than Bothello, because of course it was.
I don't know why but I lol'ed at this: In other words, we aren't going to let any of you slapdicks into our sacred Sorin hall so don't bother
haha i laughed at that too, but it's only because sorin is the dorm under construction next year, so they'll be moving into Zahm
