So we got an email from the Moderna study organizers asking all participants to let them know about derma fillers, botox, etc. since there has been a couple of reported reactions of facial swelling after getting one of the shots. I'm guessing that is why, but seems strange that they would have already recommended states to screen for this.
How long ago? I didn't paste the whole letter but it specifically stated those who had the reactions "recently" had dermal filler injections.
When I scheduled my appointment (for tomorrow afternoon), I couldn't go forward without scheduling my second dose (3 weeks from tomorrow).
Georgia apparently ain't doing this for the mass sites. My friend just got his today and said they would email him to schedule the second dose.

Wohoo, wife and I are both scheduled for vaccines Sunday at 10am. Either Pfizer or Moderna but if we are being honest, I would snort Wal-vid off a homeless man’s butt-crack right now.

She should come into the actual city of Houston where mask restrictions are much more prevalent than those small towns and the interactions in the stores would be much more chaotic since people would flip the fuck out on her
got my vax appt for March 23 in the AM. I said I had 2 high-risk factors, when I only have 1. But they open it up tomorrow, March 19, for those with 1-risk factor, so I figured it was fine to get on the books. Can't wait any longer. Give me the prick

They were relieved to see that I was just fine, but it turns out that another member of the same name who also works out with his son three days a week was hospitalized a few days ago and is doing really poorly.
I’ve found it impossible to get an appointment online. I was told by a few people to show up at the vaccination site at 3:30 and then I could probably get one of the surplus vaccines left over from no-shows. So I get there at 3:10 only to find the vaccine site already closed for the day. Dammit!
