schumer wouldn’t push this, knowing he’s facing a primary from the left, without addressing the civil rights component of it
I ran into him once at the Pentagon City Mall in maybe 1994. He was leaving a men's room, I was entering. I got the fuck out of the way. Short guy, but broad shoulders and an unbelievable glare Aunt once cast him in a bit part for some role in a show she was doing, but the week before he was supposed to show up he was injured when he went out with a baseball bat to confront a truck that was parked on his property, and they ran over him
On the issue of legalizing weed, I'm interested on how this would impact individuals subject to federal drug and alcohol tests, like myself, for work. I've stayed away from taking CBD due to the off chance of popping positive on a drug test.
De-criminalizing possession or sale doesn’t prevent your employer from requiring you to be clean on a test.
Correct, but unless I read the article incorrectly, it was about federal legalization. Like what amount of THC in your system would be unacceptable, at a federal level, to have in your system at work if you used it recreationally, legally, the day before. Obviously if my employer has a zero tolerance policy it's a moot point.
Every state sets their own intoxication limits for alcohol, but that has a basis in US Const. Amendment. My guess is that federal legislation decriminalized it as a federal crime. Individual states can still criminalize it or set their own intoxication standards.
Okay, so what are you going to do about it, Delta? Are you going to just say that you're stopping donations to these people only to make that a temporary thing and reverse your position in a year or two when the time comes again?
I don’t have much hope in anyone beating DeSantis but Fried being consistent on this issue may bring out voters that usually don’t show during Gov races .
We do not support this bill openly. We will work dilligently to create and fund a new organization to funnel money their direction. We can promise you that * Also this bill doesn't represent the beliefs of most of our employees. Just the extremely wealthy CEO's and racist corporate shitheads.
No but I wouldn't mind. Very small world when it comes to state level politics. Interesting stories heard from multiple people.
Yes, I agree that he will definitely address the civil rights component of it but my fear is that they will not address all of the civil rights components that need to be addressed. For example, they will very likely release those incarcerated for marijuana related charges but will they provide some assistance to help them restore their lives? That’s the part where I see them falling short on.
“it’s unclear which dog was responsible but Major was seen dragging his ass on the carpet of the Oval, ultimately licking his anus.”
They're coming at Major from both sides. And poor Champ is getting caught in the crossfire. He's not "filthy," he's old as fuck.
because humans are inherently selfish and evil beings they will try to do good sometimes but at the end of the day if it doesnt do anything for them then they won’t do it
