I do not think ND has landed a guy from Wisconsin since I started following recruiting like 15 years ago, pretty crazy given how they seem to have an elite OL prospect just about every year or so
I don't prefer the QB we got (and he still might turn out quite well) and who we will land at WR is still a bit of an unknown, but beyond that, this class looks stellar at just about all other positions. Freeman is a big part of that as is Elston as recruiting coordinator. This class will be a huge step up in talent.

so assuming 85 is a rule again next year (nd is currently at 88 afaik) there are 9 fifth years and 16 seniors or which about half can come back not even accounting for the free covid year. I think kyren williams and maybe foskey are the only real early declaration threats and i dont think powlus' scholarship would be there if the 85 limit was in place. So that brings us to 20 before transfers I think, so that would add up to about 24 i think for this class unless my math is off. 1QB 2RB 3WR 1TE (theyre bouncing Nickel most likely right?) 4 OL 5 DL?? 4 LB 5 DB would make 25

we turn right around and play them in our next game (i think we have a bye next weekend). this was the best defensive performance i have seen in a long long time
we have 5 or 6 guys from san diego (most from the greatest of high schools torrey pines) on this team now. its fun watching these guys play and (in the case of mirer) play really well
