ZOUMMMAAAAAAAA let’s see this out and give me Tammy and Emerson off the bench at some point. I wish gilmour was on the bench. As long as they don’t get 2, I think we can afford to fully rest kante. Hopefully mount gets some rest. Chilwell as well.

Chelsea are unlucky to be up only 3-0 which is not something I thought I would type this season

I was never anti-havertz. I may have thought he shouldn’t be playing at the moment, especially when Frank was playing him as a central midfielder or as a wide winger who was forced to stay wide, but I was never anti-havertz.

Micah was patting himself on the back after the matches Wednesday for having said Mbappé would have a big match and that Mount would play well.

I was dying laughing and thinking of how much it would irritate you

Carragher followed it up by saying that it was ok for him to do so because Mbappé hadn’t really done it on the big stage.

I remember him saying something along the lines of “we’re watching a super star in the making”.

Like has he been in a coma the last several years or something? This was pretty much me upon hearing it.

You literally were saying COVID can't be blamed anymore a month after he had COVID. Admittedly, you were not Anti-Havertz like some others.

I'll admit I am overly passionate about this for both being a huge Havertz stan and also personal reasons.

I got a nasty virus my senior year of HS that knocked me out of even going to school for a week and literally didn't get fitness back to be able to be the player I was starting at RB for our playoff bound team. Couldn't play more than 20-30 minutes and we ended up barely missing playoffs. Also having had COVID this year, it's the same type shit that can just wreck your fitness which is literally the most important thing in the game.

yeah I didn’t think covid could be blamed anymore for bad form at that point. Every player has bad form. Wanting havertz to take a break for a few games and being anti-havertz are very different. I still don’t think he’s a great fit in a 433 as a true CM. Maybe as he gets older but I was a big havertz fan from when the rumors started and was always saying that I still back him long term even when the form wasn’t there. You can see the talent. Lampard just had no idea how to use him. At that point when I wrote that, I don’t think it was covid. It was a lack of confidence, form, and being played out of position. If lampard was still manager Kai wouldn’t be having games like this because he was so badly misused. Lampards 433 just wasn’t really a good fit for him. This plan of converting a 20 year old playing in a new country to a new position in a new country and taking him farther away from goal was flawed from the start. That’s not havertz fault. I’m just glad we found a manager to get him into attack. He’s so special in the box. Havertz would have had a hat trick today on last seasons form. There is a lot more to come.

there was one month where I felt good with a 1-0 with this team. I think that time has come and gone. The defense looks a tad more vulnerable (still better than under frank) but the offensive is clicking a bit more. I’d expect more 2-1/3-2 than 1-0 the rest of the season but as long as we win that’s all that matters. Hopefully city take their foot off the gas a bit with the league locked up and we can at least win 1 of the 2 we play against them over the next few weeks

And Porto was not a good defensive performance. We’ve looked shakier as of late. Our shutouts in the beginning of this run weren’t just clean sheets. Teams weren’t even getting chances. Defense has been good still west brom excluded. Just starting to come back down to earth

I miss the don. 2009-10 and conte’s first season are my 2 favorite chelsea seasons. The season under conte wasn’t as beautiful as 2009-10 but that team came out of nowhere. He switched to the 3421 and it just clicked. That year was so much fun.
