By far the most breathtaking game I’ve ever played. That’s why I was curious to see if he had played it to compare to botw.
Anyone play Ultimate alliance 3? The first one was one of my favorite games on early gen xbox but is it any good on Switch?
Maybe it's a common rule that everyone knows going into it, but I would have appreciated some sort of heads up at the beginning
Had to help him with the boss fight but the 7 year old took down the camel beast in BOTW. He’s got 2 of the 4.
I started BOTW a few days ago and just finished the first area. Got my hang glider. I'd be lying of I said I'm super into it. Is this the sort of game where I'm likely to like it more as I advance?
Now that you're off the plateau, if you're not enjoying the game after a couple more days of just wandering around, discovering stuff, etc, then the game's not going to be for you.
I can see why people love this game, but it got old fast for me and I don't miss it. I put a good 40 hours or so in before I tapped out.
I tried really hard to enjoy it and I just couldn’t. Played around 20 hours and felt like nothing was happening. I get why people love it, but I was forcing it and wasting my time.
about threw my switch out the window after my last hades run almost killed *redacted*, like one more special attack. never beat him yet.
i imagine i could have done it ages ago if i'd traded for some blood to upgrade aspects but per reddit people say the ambrosia is way harder to come by once you get to late game so don't want to waste it
Hey I’m playing Hades too. I’ve gotten to the end of the 3rd stage a few times now. Got all weapons unlocked, working on finishing the mirror before the 20 cthonic key upgrade, and feel like all of the different aspects have just clicked for me. I’m 15 runs in.
Now I’m getting a hankering to pick it back up. I love early Chaos boons, always rocking that tooth relic or whatever it’s called.
now beaten it a few times since, should have just used the swap to get more blood earlier as i'm cruising through heat trials now and stacking up ambrosia which i've also still yet to be able to use, the grind of this game could probably be down tuned 10-20% and it wouldn't negatively impact anything
Oh shit, did they just announce the Switch Pro before E3?! I will definitely be online at midnight getting one, or in a line at Target/Best Buy the morning of... .
Think it’s mostly their effort at future-proofing to an extent. The Switch has been a big success, and Nintendo seems to have found its sweet spot in the market, as the portable, yet dock-able system. The Switch’s problem, is that it’s not particularly strong. It’s regarded as being as powerful as an XBox 360 (which doesn’t sound impressive, until you take into account that it’s portable). My guess is the power of the system will be in line with the XBone and the PS4. Even though those systems are now ‘old’, a portable version of either of those would sell like crazy. They’ve done just okay with 3rd party support, so maybe this changes some of that? Also, yes, the screen size, battery efficiency, joy-con drift, and lack of resolution should be addressed for handheld, while the dock looks to improve TV resolution to 4K (or so it is being rumored). It’s been 4 years since the Switch released, so this timeline is on par with Nintendo’s history of creating a new system every 4-5 years.
As long as I can transfer over the dozens of digital games I've bought, I'm in. If it's going to be akin to sharing games between the Switch and Switch Lite...I'll still be in but I'll be mad about it. Knowing Nintendo, I'm going to be mad.
I just bought a fucking Switch! You mean I wait 4 years after something comes out to buy it and it's already going obsolete??
I feel like good Nintendo things are never obsolete but then I remember Nintendo Wii. Which actually isn't obsolete as hardware but the fad wore off I guess.
Listen, pal. Ring Fit is fantastic. And every one of us is going to at least try swing controls on Mario Golf for the pure Wii Sports nostalgia.
The Wii was Nintendo’s highest selling system, and was somehow the only console of theirs that I never owned. I was too ingrained in my PS2 and XBox 360. I never built a nostalgic tie to the motion controls. Have also owned the original Gameboy (still have it somewhere), the Gameboy Color, the Gameboy Advance, and the 3DS.
Growing up I was obsessed with the giant VR machines at arcades. I was hyped af for virtual boy. There’s a chance it’s in my moms attic
Oh for sure. I equate it to my standing desk at work. When I got it I was super amped to be able to stand and work and after the novelty wore off after a couple weeks, I was like this sucks I want to sit and work
This is my upstairs fun room/home office so not primary tv setup. So I got this which came with the screen. For what I needed it’s perfect. Basic with some basic screen adjustment features which is important since it’s sitting on a stand off center. Nothing fancy but works really well. Watched a little playoff hockey on it too and was great even if not as clear as my 4K tv. VANKYO Leisure 530W WiFi Native...
Actual n64. I have never seen an emulator that actually works the few times I tried. I have a retropie but it can’t run n64 games well.
I have a 4K short throw with my N64 hooked up (among other things). It is laughably ugly on such a large screen (120 inches or so), but I love it.
