apparently they're making the girls play on shitty sport court over concrete which is...not a great surface to say the least. mind blowing to me that with all the arenas Omaha has built that sit unused, the NCAA couldn't spread these games around in venues that are actually safe and suitable to host a D-1 volleyball tournament.
Are they playing all the games at CHI? They must be using the convention center for games? ... if that’s true, that’s ridiculous. Play the games at the high schools if you have to. This doesn’t even seem like it’s a money thing as much as just laziness in planning.

tbh a lot of times these decisions come with a lot of built in "safety theater." whereas anyone with a brain would utilize the probably half a dozen or more gyms in Omaha that would actually provide safe flooring and provide the women a locker room to change in, the NCAA has decided to forego considering any other factors besides covid. that's how you end up hosting a division 1 championship in a convention hall. the big ten specializes at safety theater, and might have invented it.
