I think you have it wrong. I think it’s mostly an anyone but Bayern thing and Dortmund tends to be viewed as the best option to take down Bayern. Mixed with a little of eww RBL new money gross and people not wanting it to be them to dethrone Bayern
Maybe but this thread never moves faster than when Dortmund plays Spoiler unless it’s you spamming the thread during a Leipzig match
Dortmund are certainly a darling club. Think it’ll decline some once Håland leaves them and a lot of talk will go directly into the USMNT thread like it does for matches with Sargent, Richards, Adams I can’t help myself though, I love watching RBL and love a number of players on Mönchengladbach. But I’m also on the record as saying while I have anti Bayern feelings (Mostly Sané related) that I enjoy watching the efficient machine Bayern is when they’re at their best. It’s something to behold
He was on their list of like 7-9 guys they would lose if they didn’t make it. Don’t think there’s any way they lose that many but certainly would expect him to leave
They’re in pretty rough shape financially even with UCL money. They’ll have to fire sell if they don’t make top 4 this year.
Same was said of Valencia but they only sold half that many guys. 7-8 is a ton of guys from your first team, who’s the last club that did something like that?
Lewa out for the Leipzig match after Poland broke him on international break. Phonzie and Boateng both suspended as well. So there’s that....
Eintracht really should be giants in the Bundesliga and competitive in Europe, hope they keep this level moving forward. They are like Dortmund, 100% supporter owned. But being the financial center of the continent, they could definitely be a threat if they sold 49% of the club to private investment.
Eintracht has world class scouts too. They’re never hurting for young talent and they always seem to sell high.

Pretty sure I’m on the record saying the title race sucks but the average Bundesliga match is more entertaining than the average Prem match. There are still clubs like Schalke that are just as miserable to watch as the Burnley’s and West Brom’s (when they aren’t playing Chelsea) of the Prem. The race for European spots and relegation aren’t any less exciting because Bayern wins just like they aren’t in the EPL when City or Liverpool have run away with the league
