Listening to people justify Shitty AMC Show of Tamir Rice was probably one of the lowest points I’ve witnessed in humanity.
Well actually, liberal Hollywood is anti cop and military and is destroying the fabric of America. So disagree, respectfully. People would be sick to their stomachs the same way the Floyd video impacted so many people who don’t typically pay kind to these sorts of events.
IA is always the biggest rat fuckers, I’m certain of this after 2+ decades of TV and movies. I just learned about qualified immunity in the last 12 months.
I like to imagine all cops as the loveable Scott Turner played by Tom Hanks (Chet's dad) from the 1989 classic Turner and Hooch.
Never seen it but heard it’s amazing. Probably only available to buy at this point as I doubt it’s steaming. Edit: Googled it and looks like it is on Hulu
Has anyone heard before today that the police did check Floyd’s pulse while in custody? You can see one of the cops do it on the body cam footage but I can’t quite make out what he says after doing that.
Some really bad testimony from the defense today about how after someone so cuffed the threat level drops to 0 and you’re supposed to stop restraining them at that point
Been away a few days and catching up. Kinda shocked the police chief basically threw him under the bus and distanced the department from him and said his actions were in no way proper.
of what little I've watched, I just don't see how prosecution is gonna lose. just about every testimony has agreed it was overuse of force
The entire case is he was following protocol and Floyd was going to die anyway. All of the testimony has been the opposite of that I assume the defense will put on an expert that will say Floyd was going to die no matter what
There's no way he gets off, right? Pulmonary expert: Floyd was 'trying to breathe with his fingers and knuckles' while Chauvin held him down • George Floyd died of a low level of oxygen as Derek Chauvin pinned him to the street, doctor says Seems like each witness CNN has shown goes against any defense they could have.
I thought Chauvin was doomed after I saw one of his attorneys ties. But he continues to display his bargain bin ties further condemning his client.
imagine thinking your job as a modern day slave catcher is somehow a noble profession. that officer should be made to bite the fucking curb
I mean, it oughtta be. But it's been pretty clear since the autopsy report came out that people in the community have no fucking clue how an ME report works. Whole city was basically trying to cancel the chief HCME (who's as great a person as he is a doctor) for essentially just doing his job well.
wtf does Chauvin keep writing on that notepad? he’s been taking notes the whole trial “fuck I fucked up”
My guess is he's writing points that he thinks his attorney should make that his attorney will smartly ignore.
Obviously dependent on how long the jury takes, but what’s an estimated timeframe for this to be wrapped up? I’m assuming soon since closing arguments have started?
iirc schools are doing remote learning wed-fri this week anticipating thats when the verdict comes out
