Surely, they will just whack the money up differently and give another Champions league place to the EPL or something.
saw someone say the highest ranking fifa country that wouldnt be impacted by a euro/WC ban would be austria at 23 also how can they ban players from euro 2020/1 and the wc next year when these players havent even participated in a single super league match yet
hypothetically, let's say foden is extremely against this. he says he will leave the club before super league starts. is he banned from the euros because he plays for city now before supers and leaves because of it? just seems like an empty threat
Say this falls apart because of whatever reason, how do these clubs just continue on as if nothing happens?
they’re not returning without some sort of financial concession from UEFA, which they’ll spin as victory.
we are relying on billionaires growing a conscience or boris johnson saving the day not too optimistic about either one tbh
The owners don’t talk to the media. They’d just issue a statement, and everyone who runs the clubs day to day can just say they are glad to keep competing and that everything worked out.
If UEFA bans the three teams, they lose that revenue and then Big TV cancels their contract for material breach and UEFA collapses and closes up shop. Then ESL is the only continental competition left standing. Checkmate, libitards.
legally i highly doubt they could and the tv networks certainly would be less than amendable to nuking these matchups
Jamie Dimon might get murdered by angry hooligans. I don't think anyone outside of Wall St "journalists" like Stephanie Rhule and Soledad O'Brien would shed too many tears.
I’m glad that no matter the person’s age, race, nationality, or what club he or she supports, the first thing everyone decided to do was talk a gratuitous pop shot at Arsenal.
I'd like to think so. I know there's a Scottish League but always wondered why the PL had Welsh teams but not big Scottish clubs like Celtic and Rangers. It would mess with me a bit, though, given that my grandfather was from Glasgow and a massive Celtic fan. He'd probably hate the fact that I've supported an English team for so long.
I could see: 12 already announced 2 Chinese clubs 1 Malaysian The UAE national team Four open spots based on total wells drilled x carbons emitted x trees slashed - babies adopted that year in your province I think that’s 20.
It would certainly answer a lot of the money and “fans of the future” questions on how this makes sense financially.
Just read an exchange where people were talking about how there will be no more upsets in the Super League. Someone responded with "Arsenal could still beat Barcelona" and even I thought that was a bit much.
while it seems like this idea is universally hated by fans, I do wonder if there's millions of teenagers playing FIFA and Fortnite who love it.
As pissed as many of these teams supporters are, how many will actually stop supporting the club? Maybe 1-2%? It certainly wouldn’t be a large amount. So if you’re adding in millions of new fans, the calculus makes sense.
FIFA content creators are looking at the potential impact to the game as there’s talks the clubs wouldn’t be in the game but no word on the players
Seeing this a lot on the timeline but haven’t seen video to confirm him saying this. If he did, props to Klopp He’s on record in 2019 as being against a Super League
if i am shown a video or credible report on this quote, i will apologize for ever being rude about klopp and will not say a bad word about him for 6 entire calendar months
