I do think "graduated at the top of his class from prestigious universities" doesn't mean what it used to (and maybe never did) with the Kushners and Trumps of the world buying their educations while being complete idiots.
None of them were the top of their class, though. I also don't think that's new. In fact, there's probably a higher percentage of meritorious students at Ivies now than ever.
Sure but saying Ted Cruz is at the top of his class which includes a bunch of other idiots that come from money certainly shallows up the pool
Yeah, that’s really not applicable to Harvard Law School, and certainly not at the level of his accomplishments. Of course people are there because they are privileged and given every advantage in life, but there isn’t a large cadre of schmucks there because daddy dropped $2 million on a bathroom.
Ted Cruz being that good at Harvard is objectively impressive and even more damning evidence against his character and rhetoric. He’s not dumb. He’s just amoral and power hungry and knows how many of his voters are dumb.
I'm looking at my suburb out the window. Just flames and ruins. Antifa and MS-13 everywhere. But I think the SALT cap was the match that lit this candle.
I'm just going to put this out there but I'm a democrat with a hefty mortgage. Having said that I am often an unhappy democrat but am willing to pay more taxes for the betterment of my fellow man.
Hrrr drrr. You make me wear a mask but I say nothing when you make me wear pants and shoes. #cOnStItUtIoNaLrIgHts
Because club rules state you must wear a jacket in the clubhouse. You should see the stupid shit people wear (and then throw a blazer over) at country clubs.
Known shit head describes shit head Referring to Cruz's time as a student at Harvard Law, Professor Alan Dershowitz said: "Cruz was off-the-charts brilliant.
I’ve spent a lot of time in places where you have to wear a jacket, but I’ve never seen pants like that. That was what I was getting at — that the spirit of the rule goes out the window when your bottom half looks like Boba Fett.
As someone who hates dress codes and places like this I think I'm going to start really pushing the pants boundaries when I have to go to a jacket required type spot. Gonna have all the cargo pockets and zippers
I miss the days where the only way I ever heard of Greg Kelly was when The Soup made fun of how shitty a local newscaster he was
the last culture war bill they signed had an exception “if you own a theme park” clearly carved out for Disney. I would expect that Royal Caribbean and carnival, both of which have plenty of ties to Desantis and Florida republicans, will end up negotiating an exception for the cruise industry. They can’t get back to pre-pandemic levels required to pay off the debt they’ve taken on without the 30-40% of people who won’t cruise without vaccination requirements. They also can’t cruise with full requirements because trumptards won’t go. I think they get an exception and then have some ships with requirements and some without.
That was my point. Places that I’ve worked at, there were members who tried to push the “must wear a jacket, no jeans” rule to its limit. It’s dumb but white people.
