We played it from 6500ish with winds of 10-20. It was a ton of fun from those tees in a playable breeze
My dad's new club is pretty dope, the horse track now is used as a sand trap on multiple holes and the starting gate still stands there What you may not know is the clubhouse building that houses the golf and restaurant operation was formerly the main stable building of the famous Riddle Farm which produced such famous racehorses as Man O’ War, War Admiral, and Sea Biscuit. The horses bred and raised at the Riddle Farm are credited with changing the history of American horse racing.
Found out today that I’ll be riding a cart for my morning round at streamsong then walking the afternoon round. I’ll have a caddie for both rounds. Never played a course with caddie. What’s the average tip expected?
Woah woah woah. If a caddie is carrying, $100/bag per round is pretty standard. You're about to give this guy $100-$150 total for 36 holes?
Their website gives all the minimum amounts "Caddie Services - Streamsong Resort" https://www.streamsongresort.com/golf/caddie-services/
If he is fore caddying for a group 30-40 a person is a good tip. If he is actually carrying the bag I would start at 100 and go up from there. Bring some cash and ask the caddy master or give the Proshop a call before you get there.
My entry in the pool I posted about on the last page is as follows: Rory, Hovland, Spieth, Leishman, Lowry, Grillo*. It's going to be pretty chalky but oh well. edit: swapped Keegan for Grillo
Was looking at my book...can anyone explain to me how Spieth is a +120 dog to Xander...esp considering Spieth has lower odds than X to win the tournament and Spieth is only a +110 dog to JT. This means that Xander is winning the tournament, right?
Now this is real pressure for Sungjae... https://www.golfwrx.com/654684/jon-...rning-about-sungjae-ims-military-predicament/
It’s right at 8am for the first and then in the afternoon they’re just going to get us on the other when we finish.
I'm going to end up with Cam Smith in every lineup and he'll probably miss the cut and tank every one of them.
For my lineups I'm not so concerned with raw distance but guys that hit long irons and chipping well. Even Rahm was hitting all long irons on the last 6 or so holes. Everyone is going to miss greens so scrambling will be huge.
I’ll have my player pool up later tonight, around 10-11. My wife is working the tournament all week (she’s the chair on the PGA communications team) so I’m basically single Dad. Gonna slip this little dude a melatonin around 730 so I can finish up the research.
This is my team in a 50 player snake draft Jon Rahm DB Strait Vibin' Cameron Smith Brooks Koepka Tyrrell Hatton Keegan Bradley Joaquin Niemann Bubba Watson Charl Schwartzel Christiaan Bezuidenhout
Early stages of planning an Ireland trip for a group of 8. Looks like using one of the companies (EIG, celtic golf) is the way to go? Worried about getting tee times at all the places we want to get to. I’ve played over there a bunch, but always intertwined one off rounds while visiting family.
Streamsong trip booked for last weekend of October. Red/Black day 1, Blue/Red day 2, Black/Blue day 3 with time in the evening for the putting or short course. Was tough to choose between this trip and Pinehurst but we figured Pinehurst might be doable with the wives next year
Still up in the air but the flights we’re thinking would have us leaving TPA after 2 on 11/1. If we go that route then squeezing something in first thing that morning would be tight. May look at trying to do something when we get into town before driving out there
Ignore the colors (I pick 10 golfers for a pool I'm in), and the 2nd column (trying to make sure I'm not overexposed to guys, still constructing lineups), but a little context for the rest of it. I create a model using fantasy national for each tournament, and then it spits out how those guys rank according to my model in the last 12, 24, etc. The last two columns are how these guys stack up the past however many rounds with course settings I set up similar to the Ocean Course with a bit of wind included. Bubba's super intriguing this week based on that. My pick to win is DJ, love Charley and Kokrak as darkhorses.
I'm playing Spieth Hovland Berger Smith Ancer Casey Neiman Leishman Wallace Kokrak Charl Lot of chalk but I'm in single entries mostly.
Ok. Let me know. Would love to take y’all to world woods if you have time. Pine Barrens is a fun course.
Common sense would tell you that. But I got pressured into picking him. So guaranteed he doesn’t make top ten.
That was some pretty inspiring stuff there from the main group followed up by big golfer nearly killing a patron.
between Brooks nuking one into the hill on 10, and JT snap hooking the ball on 12, I'm very inspired right now. edit: on further review the camera angle and his finish made the hook look worse than it was.
CBS fucking loves gator content. If those are out over the weekend we will be lucky to see any golf shots.
How far out are you looking? I had no problem getting on Ballybunion (online), Waterville (called), and RCD (called) this coming august, but I booked it like a year ago and its only for 2 people. With 8 people you may be better off just letting a company plan it for you though and they probably have better access to the top places RCD and Portrush.
