Idk if better than Gio's but A Mano is great. Forza Storico is by no means stuffy. Boccaluppo is great but I would not show up in sweats or a tank top.
Ninos on Cheshire Bridge is probably a notch above sweatpants on the attire but the food is great. Grana in Piedmont Heights is fairly casual as well, especially the rooftop bar
Somewhere I can take my kid at like 5 in the afternoon. I can eat outside at Gio's so that's probably the best bet. Wouldn't go anywhere in sweats but shorts and a polo.
What do you guys think of the East Point (Greenbriar/Frog Hollow) area? Sister just bought a house there. She's been in Reynoldstown/East Atlanta til now, which I really liked. Hoping this new area will be half as cool. At least it's on the way to the airport
Just saw Maepole on Postmates for the first time. Located in Summerhill, and looks somewhat interesting. Has anyone had it?
Many it's wild to see people talk about the crime in Atlanta and people clutching their pearls of Buckhead. I haven't seen shit wrt crime increases around Atlanta.
I worked in East point for a few years and the area I was in was pretty rough. That was a while ago and I'm sure it's improved. Worst thing that ever happened to me was a mild homeless man attack at a gas station on Cleveland Avenue.
Downtown College Park, East Point, and Hapeville are on the up. You can find some great houses in CP at the moment, East Point needs a bit more time. Already great downtown bones and restaurants with more to come. Needs more breweries, there is 1 good one in Hapeville. She is smart to cash out of her current location and picked out another area that will appreciate bigly.
Crime is up pretty dramatically. AJC has homicides up 58% YOY and 2020 was the worst in 20 years. Rape, assault and car theft is up 30% per WaPo
Went over to Best End for the first time last weekend and it was great, I love what they've done over there. I remember going to Monday Night Garage when they first opened and wondering if they got there too early which is probably why they're rich and I'm not
Was at the Imaginarium on Saturday - that place is going to print money before and after concerts at the Eastern
Is there a story behind this? Sounds like shots at the end of the video, but I'm assuming they aren't since there isn't a news story about this. Apparently, my brother-in-law is friends with the jogger in this story. https://www.cbs46.com/news/update-p...cle_e2972fd6-c612-11eb-8843-1bd89fe2c7d8.html
No idea. Just saw the tweet. Dude appeared to have an assault rifle in the middle middle of the street then a massive snake appeared.
Clown Baby is devastated at what is happening around Big Sky. Luckily they haven't made it north up Piedmont to The IVY
Zone 6 isn't that much different than zone 2/Buckhead. Both up. The massive increase in Rape across Atlanta vs last year is probably the most concerning.
I can’t bring myself to watch this all the way through. Just the beginning seems like some pre meditated shit
My neighborhood has been about the same since I moved here. Somehow buckhead seems like a more dangerous area now.
I’m moving from midtown, where I’ve been for 7 years, to a house in EAV next to brownwood park and I’m looking forward to being in a safer area.
Yeah, it seems by far the largest increase but Agg Assault is up 60% and that's all that is talked about
We have some friends in a condo by Fado and they said its the worst they've seen it in the last 10 years. Property crime, shootings, mugging etc all seem to be on the rise.
You’re not big city living unless you’re getting your packages successfully delivered 60% of the time.
