Yeah the one I finished earlier tonight was a 10 page one. I actually wrote it in about 7 hours. I really hate doing that shit.
Lots of coffee and log off TMB, Facebook, email, etc. If I don't I won't ever get done because I get too distracted.
I did all my undergrad papers, which ranged from 5 to 42 pages, in the library. Would go around 4 or 5 and stay until finished. The library computers had far less distractions than my home pc did.
Reseach Merhods in Psychology. Wasn't a straight-forward paper, per say, but it was 42 pages of prepared and researched material. The overwhelming majority was essay format. 30 minute presentation once it was finished too.
Agree 100%. If you need to get something done, go to Mullins. I do the same shit in law school--no distractions.

Just overrated. He was a 4 star and top 250 guy and couldn't crack the 3 deep. Austin Moss is a TX guy too... need a 4 star white LB?

He's opening his season at DWR Stadium, his principal is an alumnus, we're losing our top 3 WR's in a pro-style, pass happy offense, and its close to where he lives....honestly if we can't get him we need to start setting our sights lower than the Rivals 100. I love having Petrino as our HC, but sometimes I do wish he had a personality, would really help in recruiting I think.
No, I wouldn't ever base a class off of one recruit. Jalen Cobb is said to be better than Greg Childs and J Wright at this point in his career. We are also starting to hit one some big time d lineman, and will always bring in talent ay QB and RB.
At some point we have to start admitting that we have to get recruiting classes as good as Auburn/Alabama/Florida/LSU to win the SEC, MNC's etc. This should be a great year, but the next couple are looking like they could be rough.
I hate to be cliche, but stars aren't everything... mist of the time they are a good indicator. I'm not typically an optimist, but I feel like our talent is getting better and better each year, and you just saw how Petrino will let you go if you don't perform. QB will never be an issue with Petrino. WR either (Funderburke had offers from FL, usc, and others.) On the oline you've got Brey Cook (beat everyone for him), Alvin Bailey (AA talent), Travis Swanson (freshman AA), and some very good TE's On the Dline you have Byran Jones (top 250 guy) that played immediately, and DD for another two years. Also Chris Smith will be a beast. Still have Tank for another two years as well. Throw in Robert Thomas who is also going to have an immediate impact ad well, guy was unblockable. In the secondary you have Eric Bennett who had a sick offer list at S, Tevin a top 250 guy at CB that we bought from Nebraska, 5 star Darius Winston. The talent is definitely there. We've missed on some guys at LB (Moss, Rasner, Williams)
No offense, but I feel like that's becoming our Hogville/Hawgsports party line to some extent; the fact is, we recruited Pike hard, we lost, and we've recruited DGB the hardest of anyone for the longest, so if we lose him I'm going to be pretty pissed. Sure we get good guys, but we're going to have alot better players as a whole and less misses the more "stars" we get; facts support that. Summary: love our coaches, love our players, just wish that we were winning more recruiting battles vs. LSU and the alabama schools
Well we did have schools negatively recruiting against us with the whole Petrino will move etc. now thats been squashed we should be in the thick of things with a better shot. It's like I read somewhere, everyone has the image that Arkansas is backwoods, walk with no shoes, Deliverance type shit until we get them to campus then it opens their eyes. The hardest part has been getting them to campus.
Winning on the field is the cure that will get us winning more recruiting battles. The simple fact is these kids weren't born the last time the Hogs were winning conference championships. We all know we've experienced the dark days of Hog football and know we're on the way back but most recruits, unless they grew up hog fans, don't realize it. We've got the facilities, campus and coaches. We just need more Ws on the field. Last season was probably the first that registered for most of the recruits. We need to do it again, again, again..... Until then, we will lose more recruiting battles that we probably shouldn't.
