Bought three pair of these puppies. The wife was commenting (read: complaining) how I only ever wear gym shorts since I’m home all time now. Easy solution: fancy gym shorts. Got 15% off for first time order and she had another 10% off coupon to soften the blow.
Technically they were $55 each. They are lined to keep the chafe down and are very comfortable. I’m willing to pay a premium to keep the old lady off my back about looking like a slob (which is a justifiable criticism now that I’m wfh full time).
I bought one from Costco that worked a lot better than the old one I had. Just make sure the wheels are really wide.
I did the same thing. Lost mine. Bought some shitty huge ones from CVS and they suck. Just ended up buying the airpods again. Didn't get the pros.
Aye remarkable crew checking in. 2 months(?) later... My main complaint is that the pens wear down fairly quickly and need replacing to maintain the great feel. Also I wish there was some kind of search feature. What used to be notes in a paper notebook has quickly become "quick notes" having 20 pages to flip through. I just don't take enough time to keep it organized. This would only take me 30 min a week. Im just a lazy POS.
I held off getting it for about 2-3 months, due to the inability to share/use a non-proprietary cloud.. but I'm too fucking busy & really need to reference back to client conversations from days/weeks/months ago. I've set folders & plan to start a new "notebook" for each client conversation... plan to send to my G-Suite, with filters set up, enabling me to search & reference back to past conversations through Google search
I might be too late on this recommendation but after watching this video I buy 5-10 of the Next level 6410 every 6 months or so. One of the better decisions I've made. These things are soft and fit/look great for $5 per.
Yeah, I imagine being in the client facing space the thing is super useful. I work construction and our projects are mostly one day/short term one time jobs so the repeat interactions are minimized.
Jorts & wheyum , do you think this thing would hold up well as a field pad? Basically in a leather notebook and bouncing around in a sprinter every day and accompanying me to 1-5 job sites per day. I have about 4 different paper pads I have at all times for schedules, bids, parts list, etc. but if this thing is remotely durable, I could see myself switching.
I think so... Definitely worth a 30 day trial & it's a write-off I grabbed the basic cover & the leather folio... While the leather is nice, I'm not sure I'd trust the magnet to hold the pen in place. The basic cover has a secure holder.
I am currently looking online to see if I can find a folio or binder for it that has a small 3 ring binder. That is the other key, I have various price sheets that go in the field with me at all times.
I assume there are aftermarket options on Amazon at this point. Pretty sure you can set up templates, but haven’t gotten that far yet
It definitely could work well. Feels durable enough. I'm not sure if using it as a field pad is ideal though. I love it for employee meetings/important monthly type conversations - Reminds me of the discussion from last time without having to dig through pads of paper. Would be perfect for a financial advisor/consultant type role. I don't love it for just making notes for individual jobs. It's more work to organize it sometimes then to just jot things onto a paper. I have to input the info into our CRM/Project management tool anyways so it's unnecessary. Sounds like you might fall into the "I don't love it" category.
All of my notes go into formal bids or invoices that I do in accounting software from the air conditioned confines of my home office. I still think it could help me keep my lists more organized than keeping track of the whereabouts of 4-6 different legal pads. Like Jorts said, it is a write off so I can try it and might end up with another paperweight when it is all said and done.
I haven't seen any folios for it with a 3 ring. You could always pdf the price sheets you have and save those to your Remarkable. You can then make notes and scribbles directly on your Remarkable.
Think I just need to order it and find something I can make it work in. The laminated & bound price sheets work extremely well when it is 110 out and I am sweating balls. Not trying to use an electronic device then. Basically in between jobs when I am in my vehicle.
I want to do the same. Maybe 3-4 dozen (we have 15 ee). Did you worry about any type of company logo/branding? or just everyone rocking the same colors?
Left work at 10am and played baseball until 2:30pm. Had a couple close calls because it's new, but I picked Kangaroo and Bison for mine so break in shouldn't take too long.
I wanted a certain color with my logo on it. These shirts are the best fitting/lightest. 60/40 cotton poly
It’s not often that the TMB approved <anything> is less than $10. I’ll take the bait and give them a try.
Almost forgot, bought a new bag yesterday. Glove showing minimal use after one day. Needs to break in fast as I've already made the switch. Good news is I can blame any errors on, "new glove".
Nah, just an Axe bat. Only took humanity 100 years or so to come up with an ergonomically correct bat.
Shaving gel in the creases has always been the key to breaking in my gloves. Softens them without adding extra weight. I’ve had two catchers gloves since 2008 and both are still holding their shape.

Anyone have a good set-up for cords, especially around the couch? I keep trying to half-ass it because i don't want to spend any money, but i may give in to the consumerism gods soon.
I don’t want to call it a good set up but I have an extension cord with a power strip. Cord runs under the couch, strip under the end table.
