You’re incorrect. Fully vaccinated travellers, from approved vaccines, should go anywhere if you actually believe in science. The CDC have dropped all quarantine recommendations for fully vaccinated travellers (only US ones can get in though). The ECDC have backed the EU Digital Green Cert, which allows fully vaccinated travellers to go abroad- nearly 250m have been issued to fully vaccinated persons. You either think they work or they don’t. If not, you are giving oxygen to anti vaxxers. This virus is NOT going away. It will not be eliminated. Variants will continue, right through that alphabet. “Not the time”= never the right time. You will perpetuate damage on those who work in aviation, tourism and a whole host of other industries, as well the social costs of the ban. In terms of the specifics of the ban, it targets foreign people. It does not exclude American citizens based on public health grounds. You don’t see to understand what xenophobic means, I suppose that reflects the stupidity of your anti vaxx position. That foreign Visa holder working in your local 711 or in your tech company is the most impacted by this. Biden knows he can get away with it because it’s foreigners. You know that the US cannot deny entry to their own citizens, right? Even when a travel ban is imposed they have to allow US citizens the right to enter the country. Remember when Trump was in office and Italy was raging with COVID cases and the Italian government said all non-Italian citizens must leave and all US citizens were accepted into the country? That happened because US citizens are not another country’s responsibility, but when the president was a republican that was not an issue for you.
