Anyone have good recs for games geared towards 4-6 year olds? Friend of mine just got his kids a switch but has no idea about video games. I have a switch and was able to help him order that and the accessories but I don't have a clue what games.he should get aside Mario Kart. BoTW feels a bit too advanced for that age and I doubt theyd like the retro stuff.
Odyssey and Yoshi's Crafted World are good games my kids like playing. Also Untitled Goose has my kids laughing all the time.
Hopefully wind waker remaster drops this year likes it’s supposed to. Don’t really have the urge to play skyward sword. Wind waker is arguably the best Zelda and is probably on almost everyone’s top 3. Didn’t get played as much due to being game cube and wiiU
Guess this is where we give our ranking for favorite Zelda games? 1) Breath of the Wild 2) Ocarina 3) Link to the Past 4) Wind Waker (not doing this to be a contrarian) 5) Majora’s Mask 6) Legend of Zelda NES 7) Twilight Princess (never played all of the way through) 8) Link’s Awakening These are the only games I’ve played. Thinking of grabbing Skyward Sword, once the schedule lightens up some.
All good. I would probably go A Link To The Past Wind Waker BOTW Ocarina Zelda NES Majoras Mask Links Awaking Zelda 2- I know most don’t like it but it’s challenging and I love it
Yeah it really deviated from the original, but a young elementary school duckmouth loved it. Played through it again last year and enjoyed it. Game is hard as hell. I get why people don’t like it though
Majoras Mask Breath of the Wild Ocarina of Time Wind Waker A Link to the Past A Link Between Worlds Twilight Princess Link's Awakening (Switch) Oracle of Seasons/Ages Minish Cap Link's Awakening (GB) Zelda NES Zelda II Spirit Tracks Phantom Hourglass Skyward Sword
I’m pretty impressed that they actually did it. They were able to pull it off. They somehow made the button controls just as bad as the motion controls on the Wii version.
Skyward Sword has maybe the best dungeon design of all 3D Zelda games. And basically the worst of everything else.
I never realized how much SS is basically a beta version of BotW. The look and feel are pretty much the same, it’s just not open world like BotW
Only 11 shrines left to go. I've had to resort to a map I found online to find the last few. Don't even want to know how many hours I've played
I lean to the just OK. It plays fine but feels like there isn't much to do. For single player it's basically adventure mode or just play golf. No other versus or offline tournament modes. The golf itself plays just fine though and the game looks good.
Didn't realize a "Cruis'n" arcade racer was releasing next week. https://www.nintendo.com/games/detail/cruisn-blast-switch/ Not sure to go with that or just get Hot Wheels. Although was debating on console for Hot Wheels too to maybe play with my almost 5 y/o
If that’s the same game I had as a kid, that fucked so hard. I had the perfect number of rotations down for every single jump in the game and would smoke anyone.
Yeah i mean online now is pretty cheap. So I can see a premium for these especially since they just did that whole Mario 3d all Star package
they have a genesis bundle in the shop I got a while back for $10 or so that includes toe jam and earl 1&2
GoldenEye has to be licensing issue from Bond as a property to all of the real actors portrayed in the game.
Dumb question but can Metroid be bought digitally, or do you have to go to a store? Is there a difference in what games are available digitally vs physically?
Pretty much every physical release is available digitally, unless it's something like Mario 3D All Stars that had a short-term release window. Not every digital release has a physical equivalent though. I buy all my games digitally because I don't like keeping up with/swapping cartridges/discs. To answer your question, yes Metroid Dread is available digitally. I bought the download code on Amazon this morning. You can buy digitally direct from the eShop or you can buy the code from Amazon, etc. The downside is the price is much more likely to drop for a physical release (and drop more sharply) than digital. Every now and then there'll be a digital sale that drops a big title from $60 to $50, but the odds are that same title can be bought as a used cart for $30 or so. It's a tradeoff: Convenience for price
