i can sorta see holding off for a few weeks if 2022 is most likely a wash either way (I imagine it is/would have been regardless of when he opted for TJ) feel similarly about Tatis with his shoulder. he’s been able to play thru it at an elite level, and ofc a shoulder injury isn’t a direct 1:1 to a torn UCL, but that thing feels like a ticking time bomb
Congrats to Florida fans. Fabian is going back to UF because he wanted $3M to sign and Boston passed.
He had a ton of leverage (at least 2 years of eligibility left) and it was always gonna be a risky pick, if he improves then he'll cash in (I doubt that'll happen though).
Every college player taken before him had 2 years of eligibility left, too. This is a massive gamble on his part and he could end up losing a lot of money here. Pretty dumb of Boston to pick him with the idea that his asking price was a bluff, though.
Yankees fans already turning on Gallo because they expected him to hit for average I guess he deserves better
Good for him. I wish him nothing but individual success while hoping for utter failure for the Yankees organization.
Why anyone ever throws Baez a pitch within 6 inches of the strike zone baffles me. But it's especially stupid on a 1-2 count.
This can’t be right. Multiple posters ITT and in the Cubs thread said Rizzo sucks now and he’s washed.
Thats insane how close that was. Trying to decide if hes the greatest Canadian vs Larry Walker & Morneau
He’s hitting that low because he has a tendency to swing at everything, whether it’s a strike or not. He’s not going to take a walk, so if you have a wipeout slider that ends up outside at your disposal, you should probably use it.
also probably the best Canadian baseball player is Ferguson Jenkins. at the very least he would be the discussion with Votto and Walker, not Morneau.
I’ll always hate the Twins for keeping Morneau and not clearing out first before Mauers body failed on him.
All I've seen is the Mets saw something in his elbow they didn't like, and Rocker's gotten other medical checks from other docs who disagree with the Mets' findings (although I'm assuming we wouldn't hear from Rocker's camp about any docs who agree with the Mets' findings).
No. He has to wait for the draft again next year. And if he doesn't sign then, I think he'd need to wait another year for the next draft.
