Tuned In to smackdown and realized thunder dome audio is back so I changed it. WWE is pathetic they have a sold out crowd and just can’t handle them choosing who to cheer. Bianca sucks as a face.
Seriously, what the fuck is going on? They have over 200 talents signed and they release Bronson, Fish, Martinez who are all on NXT contracts.
Mercedes has zero charisma and isn't a good promo. Plus every big match she had was kinda meh. Reed I'm a huge fan of... He seemed like someone who could really work in WWE. None of the other people released move the needle
Bronson Reed pitched being the 4th member of Romans family online, which seems like a great idea. Instead, Vince cut him.
He doesn't add anything at this point. Vince should step away and enjoy his wealth, but he's too much of a control freak.
Still seems like they are cutting to save money and then sell. Either that or just to end NXT. Maybe That’s why they keep selling stock also
Wild, hairbrained idea: AEW has a few big names whose contracts are going to be up either late this year or early next (Darby is one, for example): Maybe WWE's plan is to dump a bunch of high price contracts, clear up roster space, and make a run at some of AEWs established stars, in order to destabilize their booking and kill their momentum. That's probably not it but it's late and I'm tired.
I'm starting to think VinceMcMahon is the victim of an inception. Deep down he's been given the idea that he hates his dad for leaving him to grow up in a trailer park in podunk Carolina. It's why he both wants to monopolize pro wrestling and destroy it.
Vince - “Big, sweaty men are what fans want!” Fans - “No, give us good stories” Vince - “Big, sweaty men it is then!”
Vince: I like to think I'm a pretty good listener. Also Vince: I like to think I don't give a fuck what I'm hearing.
I think a publicly traded company issuing a company wide email using the term midget is maybe the most shocking part of Dave's report.
Drew’s character is so awful now. He is the example of the most overproduced bullshit of all time. Vince: let’s make him wear a kilt because he is Scottish. Vince: let’s give him a sword and do a little braveheart gimmick. Vince: let’s make him keep the kilt and the braveheart gimmick but let’s also add King Arthur and the Stone to it. Vince: goddamn pal, that’s good shit.
This may have been one of the best written and produced moments in wrestling ever. From the long countdown to deciding to have it end with The Rock to the music to the absolutely perfect titantron that had "Jericho" for the reveal. Like what would you do differently? I marked out.
Janela finally turned heel last night on Elevation. They need to do an angle where Janela challenges Kiss to a Lights Out match, but Sonny instead gives the match to Gage.
I didn’t watch but fans were chanting for Bray Wyatt during Bliss’ match last night. That’s why. It wasn’t totally organic.
Draganov v Dunn was really good this week. Take Over 36 is stacked... wish they would be performing in Vegas or in a big arena and not the PC
Knowing the future of NXT, and the way they cut the legs out from Kross, has made it lose a lot of steam (at least for me). The product is kinda just there now, after having a good run the past few months.
I think this is a fair take. A lot of non TV stuff is really killing the enjoyment of the TV stuff recently for WWE. the NXT TV has been really good and they booked a really strong TakeOver. Walter v Draganov II is going to be crazy. I kinda hope Draganov wins and they bring Walter over to NXT. I would love Walter v Joe
I was literally coming to post this. I watched some of it, but I wasn't invested. Feels like the last days of WCW.
Don't you dare besmirch the last year or two of WCW. The best trainwreck in the history of television. If I'm bored, a 2001 Thunder will be on in the background for sure. Sign me up for 50 storylines in 2 hours all day.
You are correct sir. Building around Booker T and an 85% crazy Scott Steiner was fun. From a watching standpoint, it was a different level, just knowing the thing was going to be sold and scraped in some way took away from my investment.
