PT beat on my pec like it owed him money. First bench in 9 months truly pain free. Finally felt like “my bench” again. Cryn n tha club rn
Was hoping Lasha went for 267(266 has been done twice) but 265 was about all he had About the only thing left for him to accomplish
He’s capable of 273. He gets paid for every record so he’s just taking what he has to to make money. No one is pushing him further besides his own records. I think we’ll see it eventually
Pulled 565x4 today. I have got to wedge my hips better. Luckily my quads and back are strong enough to carry but I’ve gotta get more efficient to hit 700
Making the move to Juggernaut. Chad reached out to me about testing it out. Gonna run their powerbuilding program. Ive been enjoying power athlete HQ, but 5 days a week isn’t manageable for me.
Double whammy for me today. Fuckin terrible day. Really going to miss “hey everybody, John meadows here”
Haven’t said yet but between the heart attack and a clotting disorder it was probably something cardiax
i remember seeing that because some weirdos were commenting stuff like “this is what happens when you abuse steroids” after he talked about his health issues.
I'm a fan. I've been with them for a few years, well before the app. Just switched over to powerbuilding after my last meet. I'm trying to drop down a weight class during 2022. Pro's The layout is so damn clean. The app's UI is brilliant Programming feels balanced Very responsive, I've had a couple days where it told me to just not workout that day Being able to swap out exercises is great Con's The volume can be a lot. I have to workout before work, so I have a hard stop. While I got good results for the first couple years, my bench has plateaued. Not saying it's all on the programming, but results are results. But all things considered, I'm still a fan.
When it says 10 reps with 4 reps in reserve, are you supposed to pick a weight where when you perform 10 reps you have 4 left in the tank, or do you pick a weight, knock out 10, and then adjust the reps in reserve manually to tell the app how many you had left in the tank?
The former. If you are just getting started, it may be trying to help you find a 10 rep max. Do the next few sets have you with decreasing reps in reserve? When that's the case, I don't worry about getting exact on the 4 RiR set. I'll just take a stab and worry more about the specificity on the next few sets.
Is there a decent program with a flexible schedule? I can’t do a daily regimen due to work/inconsistent diet/drinking like an asshole on the weekend. Plus do a lot of cardio to make up for my flaws. Pretty consistent 4 days a week but those days vary week to week
285 bench PR today on 1 of the 3 days a year I start with bench Also failed a ton of my accessories which never happens, first few reps of everything flew then my triceps gave out and wanted nothing to do with volume today Decent day after a rough weekend
everything for the shed gym has been delivered. the rack and weights have been sitting on a pallet at work for 3 weeks now, going to get them all assembled this weekend.
Just deadlifted 405 for the first time in a long time. I know it’s not a lot for a lot of people in here but didn’t think I’d ever touch that number again after the pandemic shut the gym down last March
My first product dropping next week https://instagram.com/stories/garag...urce=ig_story_item_share&utm_medium=copy_link
Thanks bud! It works awesome. Can flip it to create a different angle, can use in your lap, on a bench, on a utility seat in your rack, etc… can easily bring it over to a cable machine to do cable curls from the low pulley position. Flat top side also let’s you do table top curls from the cable, which is a favorite of mine after using Sorinex’s old piece. Can further put it on a wedge or something else to create a variety of angles. Same vinyl and foam as rogue. Made by Abmat.
is there a thread approved barbell clamp? they all either looks the same and are less than $20, or have some totally different design and cost like $60.
have 2 pairs of these, they're great as long as your bar is 2''(will slide off specialty bars). Quick to put on and durable. Like way more than spring collars. i may buy the others. i have a set of prolocs, but if i manage to tighten them enough to hold without slipping i’m never strong enough to unlock them. #professionalweakguy
I missed the John Meadows news, that's deeply affecting. Watched nearly all of his videos, seemed like such a nice guy
