Yea it's an early morning/lunch spot for me so I don't have to deal with the traffic. Has anyone been to fire maker brewing?
I used to use Howell Mill as a cut through to midtown when the Connector was a mess then they built that QT and made the far right lane a dedicated turn lane which people still don’t know about. In sum,
Yeah, we like it a lot. They brew a ton of beers, and not all of them hit, but I always appreciate how much diversity they have on tap. Nice setup and they always have stuff going on (trivia, bingo, food trucks, etc.)
I’m full time wfh now, but was in midtown so I’d hop on 75 at Northside and take it one exit down so it was perfect. My wife works in Kennesaw, so she’s able to hop on 75 and reverse commute with ease, so it works great for us. Like Clown Baby said though, that QT fucks everything up. I really hate it.
The best is when people try to take Howell Mill to Defoor Ave. There's no left turn signal or lane there. Just people using a bad direction app that doesn't know they could take Chattahoochee instead.
I'm otp south but they started carrying it at my liquor store. My wife is super picky about beer but likes their lager. I'd rather support local than buy her fucking Michelob. We'll have to stop by next time I go to top golf or the works.
yeah people never pay attention to those 3 stop signs. Spoiler there are 4 stop signs. Neighborhood association tried for speed humps but were told its not allowed for side streets used for emergency vehicles
Steady Hand makes a solid lager as well. They’re right across from Top Golf, so check them out next time you’re around.
Fucking Portugal at the Earl sold out by the time I refreshed my page at 10am and added two tickets to my cart. My day, and possibly life, is ruined.
Off the top of my head, Torched Hop, Wrecking Bar, Bold Monk, and SweetWater all have kitchens. Might not be comprehensive, but should be a pretty good start.
my ticketmaster on chrome would not let me, went to app and it was buggy too, but was able to get some shows via Safari. Got lucky tbh.
Somewhat relevant.. Has anyone tried the new Sweetwater lager? It's going to be a year round offering.
I went through the earl’s vender. Fresh tix. I refreshed the page at 10am and added two tickets to my cart and they were already unavailable. I called the office and they said they were all gone.
Speaking of The Earl, Delta Spirit was supposed to play a show there the same weekend as Shaky Knees but I guess they’re already booked that weekend which sucks
If you're looking for local lagers Arches has 2 really nice ones. Southside lager is more traditional and Mexican Empire is a Vienna style lager, both are really good
Take solace in the fact that even if you had timed it to buy them right when they went on sale, you still wouldn’t have gotten them.
I think they used to play there. Probably looking to redeem themselves since the last time they came through they opened up for x ambassadors at the roxy
I can see the city limits from my house. Technically that means I’m not otp either. Edit: I just realized this makes no sense
Someone moved into my apartment building that likes to play loud, bass heavy music starting at 10pm. I can feel the bass in my bed. I’m about to lose my shit.
Late night shows for shaky knees are often in smaller venues all over town: https://www.shakykneesfestival.com/late-night-shows
Some dipshit got his 18-wheeler stuck at the intersection of Northside and Deering right at 6 and was blocking both southbound lanes of Northside. Backed everything up to at least Moore’s Mill. But the worst part, he was wearing one of those hats like the lead singer of the New Radicals.
100%. The Piedmont Park killing is obviously an outlier since it’s the first in a decade but there’s a concerted effort (either for clicks or political gain) to misrepresent Atlanta crime and violence in the same vein that Chicago was five years ago.
