It's being run into the ground by shitty leadership at the parish level. I don't follow it or care about it anymore but that seems to be the case based on what I've heard. I know they were not too far off from closing the school before the extra pandemic funding bailed them out. Also Bellar has maybe lost a step as a coach

Just rotted my brain listening to the Sipple and McKewon podcast while walking the dog, and holy fuck is Sam delusional. He thinks this defense will only allow 3 ypc this season. For reference the 2009 defense only allowed 2.78 ypc. He then tried to cover his tracks and say it’s because teams will be able to throw all over the field on us, and they’ll abandon the run. Like, that might be true, but 3 ypc would be top 10, and that’s not happening.
It's also just a hilariously bad understanding of how stats work. Teams running less against us because they can pass all over us will not lower a yards PER CARRY stat
