Officially done with Thomas' shit. We way overpaid, he can only be a dominant WR with a QB like Brees. He's still a top 10-15 WR, but he's not in the same tier as Julio/Nuke/Adams. Of course he demands a trade while on the IR and unable to pass a physical.
We just got a call from Saints tickets sales. The lady made it sound like they are desperate. Wonder if the whole vaccine to attend thing is hurting sales
I was kind of thinking the same thing. I got a call/voicemail, and then an email. The email makes it seem like there are slim pickins, but I'm calling anyway to see what I can get.
Both my work and my wife’s work give us free tix. We usually get to go 4 or 5 games for free. Nice perk and that’s why we don’t buy
We lost 2 of our seats due to the renovations - when I spoke to our rep a month or so ago there wasn't shit available except singles and those new endzone club/suite thing, for the same price as club 50 yard line.
Figured there would be lots of seats available due to the new vaccine/mask rules and the number of chuds that are no doubt in our fanbase
In a frustrating and completely expected turn of events given that it's NOLA, after sitting on the phone for an hour and 20 minutes waiting to talk to a rep, when I got to #3 in line the phone rings and then tells me "we are experiencing system problems please try again later" and forces me to hangup.
They're not giving refunds so the secondary market should start flooding with tickets, maybe enough will get pissed off and not renew next year I can add some more seats
I take that back they are now offering refunds as of a couple hours ago - I guess I need to reach out to my rep. Just an aside the Saints/Pels ticket office is fucking terrible. I'm on my 3rd rep since last season - unless they're trying to upsell a suite they aren't very responsive. They didn't tell me I lost 2 seats until I got the bill and noticed. Didn't help it was a shit show with Covid for Pels & Saints last year.
My guess was they weren’t initially going to give refunds, but see some new demand and now willing to and resale. Probably add a few bucks to it and see it as a chance to make a little more money. I would if I was in charge of their ticket sales
Just turned on the game and saw a Hill >> Humphrey pass for a nice gain. Having seen one play all preseason I’m ready to declare us the best team in the league
Bucs had shit for a running game and the o-line was beyond suspect when Winston was there. I’m sure the Saints will lean on the running game and ask Winston for a big play here and there. I hope he breaks out in a big way for the Saints.
honestly at this point it better be. Winston looked great and could basically do a mike drop after 3 drives. Also Callaway can be a legit fantasy asset this year as long as MT is out and with Winston maybe beyond that.
Defense is looking good and CJ Gardner may be a star this year. Just need Callaway to emerge and Winston not to turnover too much amd we can be good enough in O
If Callaway can emerge as a number 1 target and we can win while Thomas is out it could be the best thing for Thomas. May be the push he needs to get him motivated to step up. He may realize that we don’t need him for the O to work. Could have a reverse effect I guess though because he does have some of that WR diva mentality
Just having a QB that can stretch the field will help Thomas a lot once he's healthy. Coverage won't be able to put everyone in the box. Put Harris on some go routes and pull the safety to soften the underneath stuff of Thomas. Taysom has looked better but still a little slow on his reads, and wasn't pulling it down and running last night.... but with how good Jamies played it's his team.
was encouraging man. Those deep balls I can live w/ a lower completion percentage and around an INT a game, in exchange for those
so in the broadcast they said the team fielded calls for Ian Book. If they turned down even a remotely reasonable offer id be so pissed. Never been so pissed about a pick i think
If I can find one I'll pick one up for you, you can order online and have it shipped to you as well. https://plbse.com/products/kamaras-king-crunch-2-pack
Game Saturday moved to noon. Was planning on going, not sure I want to fuck around with going to NOLA and getting stuck in traffic getting home for a preseason game.
we ready. Last few items about to grabbed…. I’m on the east side of this bitch. Going to be rough one I think
I'm in Lafayette, hope this thing stays a little more east of us and we should be fine. If it bobs to the west right before landfall it won't be fun, house and everything should be fine - but being out of power for more than a day at the end of August sounds absolutely miserable.
Any context around this, or when he said this? I know he said something similar last (2020) off-season when he was a FA, but I haven't heard anything like that since then, Taysom doesn't strike me as the kind of guy to say something like that a week before the season starts.
Let’s get some Winston predictions and game predictions going. Green Bay is going to be tough. I say Winston goes 275 2tds 1 int. Saints lose 27-24. Hope I’m wrong and think we can win, but we may fall short. I would flip the score if we were in the dome. I think CJ Gardner balls out this game and all year
Probably pretty close on Winston, I imagine we're going to run a ball-control offense as much as possible with some shots. I'll take the flip Saints win 27-24. I'm not sure if the dome would help - making green bay play outside for their first game in Florida heat / humidity could be a slight advantage to us. I'm assuming we'll wear white.
I picked up Callaway late in my fantasy draft this week. Am I a genius or is he just a preseason star?
My hope is that he's the new Mike Evans for Jameis, at least early in the year. He made some insane TD catches in the last preseason game
