Don't like immediately overshadowing Adam Cole and also throwing him in with that group...but that's nitpicking. Holy hell AEW roster is amazing now
I am pretty sure they did both debuts tonight to ensure they got in front of any possible covid postponements. My guess is Cole was going to debut tonight all along, but Danielson got moved up from the NYC show.
Wednesday should be awesome. Suzuki/Mox will rage, and Dustin is going to end up covered in blood. Let’s fast forward already.
Went from a jobber to the stars, to World Champion, Mania main eventer, forced to retire, came back and co-mainevented Mania again, then main evented it AGAIN, and now is the hottest free agent signing in pro graps. Amazing. So happy for him HE DOESNT EVEN EAT MEAT
Adam Page took a bad time to take some time off (think he had a kid so he couldn't really control it). But he should be next title feud but so many top guys ready to step in. They could probably buy some time with a war games type match next ppv with the top groups
Off the top of my head this was my favorite PPV from top to bottom since the first One Night Stand. It all just worked.
Not only does aew get a lot of top end guys lately, but a lot of top end guys who don't have a history with each other or if they do its an old one so everything seems fresh. Cole being only in nxt, Punk being off for a long stretch, they have a lot of future big matches people want to see
Spears, Omega, Punk, Bucks, Luchas, Cole, Christian, Darby, Sting, Danielson, Black, Hangman, MJF, Jericho, Andrade, PAC, Miro, Moxley...Jesus, who am I forgetting?
Canadian Stampede Mania X-Seven Mania XIX SummerSlam 2002 Money in the Bank 2011 All Out 2021 That's it. That's the list. That's why I put up with all the shit. Pro Wrestling is usually dumb and I hate it. But when it is good there's nothing like it
It’s funny to think about how he came up with WWE 11 years ago with the gimmick that he was a self-important Indy nerd who needed to be put in his place and got shit on by Michael Cole for being a nerd (and you couldn’t really argue with him). And now he’s got a legit great look and he’s the hottest free agent in the world with 3 WM MEs under his belt and perhaps had one of the greatest year long stories in wrestling history
I really enjoy Edge, but Christian’s return has been superior in every way imaginable. It’s not just that he’s been entertaining; he is having awesome matches with everyone he faces.
Full Gear in November might feature Danielson vs Cole, or maybe The Elite vs a team of babyfaces and holy shit I'm going to be there
that seems so minor as a royal rumble mark. i literally never skip a RR, but can't stand the wwe product.
Couple that with watching FSU v ND nail-biter I'm fucking wired. And I have a son who will probably be awake in 5 hours
Round robin style tournaments have always been deemed too complicated for the average wrestling fan to handle, but AEW has shown it can handle wins and losses without killing people. With that said, I think it would be foolish of them to not try their own G1 Climax at some point in 2022. It would be criminal.
AEW has put together the roster every wrestling nerd has been dreaming about for half a decade. I mean outside of KO, Sami, and New Day, they have it all right now. PPV of the year and they didn’t even feature hangman, dark order, black, FTR, Santana and Ortiz, Shida, Sammy Guevara, like the roster is fucking stacked and they just added 2 of the 5 best wrestlers in the world
Bankz made me leave this thread but I won't bash him. If he still wants to pump WWE after tonight more power to him. Won't stop me, the TMB thread has come around and most of you are AEW friendly.
I guess that was someone else shitting all over the main event or denigrating someone because they have the Impact title.
