Pulisic seemed pretty frustrated on the pitch after the match. In his interview, he was asked a question, and it came across to me that he wasn’t happy with the tactics or adjustments made. He didn’t say anything, but it felt like he had a lot he wanted to say but didn’t.
He did and someone said it was from him walking around maskless signing autographs in El Salvador but Twellman is saying that’s not it
So, this is the douchiest thing I’ll ever post (saying something) I was at a steakhouse in Monaco three weeks ago. Heard a very American accent talking to a very European sounding man. Had my back turned so couldn’t make it obvious to look. Got up to go the bathroom, came back and got a full view of Weston talking to Miralem Pjanic, who I think just randomly bumped into each other (as famous people do in Monaco). They made plans to meet up later. Wife and I went to the casino that night and they both showed up around midnight and went straight back to a private table. I don’t share this for any other reason than to say 1) I saw Pjanic and McKennie in public which was cool 2) Weston doesn’t give a fuck about covid protocols I don’t think
Need our midfield players to take on guys more rather then just pass it around. Wes would have helped. Musa could help here. Gio would obviously also be great if he were healthy. Just feel like in the last two games we've been missing those line cutting passes and aggressive take ons from the midfield. Lletget and Acosta don't bring that. Also doesn't help that none of our strikers are any good.
Gio Reyna has been diagnosed with a right hamstring strain and has been ruled out of the matches against Canada and Honduras. He suffered the injury during the 0-0 draw against El Salvador on Sept. 2 in San Salvador
That’s what’s so great about Yueill though, he combines Wes’s tenacity and motor with Gio’s skill and savvy. GGG is streets ahead
4 guys hurt/unavailable from the initial roster and we’re only calling in Yueill? Jesus Gregg is a moron.
-------------------- Pepi ---- Konrad ----- Pulisic ----- Aaronson ------- Roldan --------------- Lletget --- Jedi ---- Brooks ---- McKenzie ---- Acosta ------------------- Turner this is an insane lineup but desperate times, etc. would obviously play Adams but not sure if he can really go for all three matches i continue to stan for pepi. guy was on fire in the mls; no reason not to play him you can convince me to play aaronson over lletget and put sargent on the wing just to get more attackers on the pitch. i'd honestly rather lose 2-3 than tie 0-0; this team needs to see the ball go in the net and our mifeidl isn't doing enough.
Bringing in Yueill is a fucking joke right guys. You guys are joking, I hope. Getting back on the fire GGG train.
So, given the issues we’ve run into this window, would GGG consider bringing in more than 26 guys for the next window? We get Jamaica at home, Panama away, and Costa Rica at home. Seems like we could be really aggressive for the home games and make several changes for the Panama match that would allow us to be as fresh as possible for all three matches if we brought in 28-30 players.
So say we lose to Honduras. What kind of response should there be? Im just troubled on how we have looked. Honestly it felt like were lucky to get out of last night with a point.
Gotta think GGG’s seat would be on fire. The next window seems like our most gettable window, but losing to Honduras would put a metric shit ton of pressure on that window, not that there isn’t already a ton of pressure.
this is just based off of ELO ratings, i believe i think everyone agrees that on paper, this team should qualify for the world cup. the issue is that we underperform our on paper rating and have trouble with most of the countries in the final round of qualifying.
Is it possible he broke COVID protocol, so now he has to isolate, so they just went ahead and sent him home cause he wouldn't be cleared in time? Or is this GGG trying to send a message and benching one of our best players 2 games, while needing a win?
