Have no idea what to expect with her new album/rise to stardom, but every album she's put out is so simple, yet so great musically.
"Noncountry artists whom Musgraves has mentioned as influences include Cher, Selena,[93] Ryan Adams, Cake, Neil Young, Weezer, Imogen Heap, Bee Gees, Sade, and Electric Light Orchestra.[94]" Ok, I might could do this
"Musgraves met Ruston Kelly at the Bluebird Café in Nashville. In May 2016, they had a songwriting date, and they began dating shortly after" D'awwwwwwwww
Had been following Kacey for years and obviously knew she was very attractive. But I really had no clue she was draggin that wagon.
Golden Hour is absolutely one of the best country albums over the past 10 years. It's a near flawless record.
Tickets go on sale at 10AM CDT this morning for some shows. Great Christmas present idea for the BFF.
Kind of agree with this after my first listen through the new album. It’s definitely a different vibe than Golden Hour, which is understandable. I don’t hate it though and it may grow on me
I’d recommend listening to Golden Hour first. You need to hear the love songs and the happy coming off just getting married before jumping into the divorce record out today. At least IMO.
I think you guys are prob right, although it's an interesting phenomenon how people often like the album they heard first the most. Or at least I observed it with a friend of mine that's 3 years younger. Many bands I like an older album best, he likes a newer one because he heard that one first
To me there's just so much good music out there. If something is just ok I'll probably move on. Obviously music is very subjective and I'm sure a lot of people will love this album.
Agree #100 on that. I try to allow for the "growers" out there, but in today's world there's plenty of fish in the sea. Go with what grabs you
Completely unrelated.. New chvrches album seems good. We should have a new music Friday thread that aggregates everything vs the different genre thread.
I don’t know if you guys have noticed, but she’s kind of attractive. I mean, if you’re into hot chicks and stuff like that.
In this instance I just really think it helps understand how the relationship fell apart. Listen to Butterflies off of Golden Hour and then go listen to Breadwinner off the new record, and it’s a fairly devastating 180 in terms of completely falling in love with someone then two years later learning he’s entirely incompatible with your values and being comfortable supporting you and your career.
"If he comes home stressed out I could pack him a bowl. Just let him be himself, don't try to control. God help me be a good wife." Seriously, she's perfect.
