I don’t think they have an ad free version of live tv. But yes, it’s weird. Reminds me of old espn3 where it wood just play the elevator music during commercials. After 4-5 breaks, you are missing actual commercials
3 LBs lost for a year within 2.5 weeks, that’s insane. I’m sure Watts is pumped about this move haha he’ll probably transfer out.
yeah but it's really more like 10 with how much they use mayer and the running backs in the passing game - Pete
There were those thinking he could be a really good DB in college, but I wouldn’t expect instant gratification here at all. This is wild. It’d be nice to have Ovie, Jack Lamb, or JGH right now, but hindsight is 20/20.
never understood Ovie leaving. It seemed like he left on his own rather than being pushed out, but ND should have fought that hard.
Watts to Rover is an interesting move, for sure. But I guess in a lot of ways he was a poor man’s Styles, so he wasn’t needed as much on offense after that addition.
Seems like he was getting recruited over, too. Really need to get 4 WRs in this class now; already thought we should, but seems more like a need now
Sure would have been nice to sign more than 1 LB total in the 2020/2021 classes. That was always a dumb move
“Yo dude” got me. the previous tweet was. You know for an absolute FACT the staff lied to them? Or, do you think maybe it had to do with losing 3 LB for the season, Botelho still out, and Watts being a tremendous athlete that played both sides in HS? Also, Kets got passed up by younger guys and Davis. Simple as that
Terrible performance in the opener. Brand new DC and QB. Tons of injuries. Conspiracy theories about coaches lying to players. Gents, we’re 2016ing aren’t we?!?!
Also, Watts hype always felt Barry Gallup or Leonard Gordon-esque to me. Low recruiting rating. Solid film against poor competition. Underwhelming offer sheet. Crazy message board banter about being a diamond in the rough. He was what most thought he was. A 3 star WR.
How about Bowen commit already and just enroll early and make the short hour long trip over to South Bend and suit up on Saturday
I’m not going to sunshine and rainbows this because there is nothing good to say about any of these things happening, but Kelly does have a good track record of moving players positions to success. Hopefully this is one of them. come next year there is going to be a logjam at LB, though.
Ok so since fall camp: 1. Marist - big loss 2. Fisher - hopefully he is back for unc but somewhat of a loss? TBD how the guys behind him look. 3. Moala - decent loss bigger with Marist out too 4. Simon - whatever 5. Bauman - should be back for usc but we have dudes behind him. 6. Keys - never going to play It’s really not great but it’s not Jack Coan or Hamilton going down - except for Marist there should be really comparable players to step in - hope they can adjust.
Kiser or Pryor or Watts At the Rover position in this week’s depth chart. Kind of funny seeing him at the same position as guys multiple inches shorter and 25 LBs lighter.
YouTubeTV does it. It’s just a screen that shows the channel, though YTTV is now adding tracking polls.
I do have to say I’m quite glad I’ve already unloaded my tickets for this season given the rush on injuries. I’ll never forget literally not being able to give tickets away in 2016
My mom is high risk the no vaccine / test ruling meant we had to unload the first quarter of the season
Kinda sucks. This year will be whatever and then next year we are going to be super young on offense and probably defense so really 2 years before we make another run
1. Force Keys to transfer 2. Force Watts to Rover 3. Give Lo Styles 15 targets after Lenzy's inevitable hamstring injury with no Keys or Watts 4. Watch Watts give up 3 deep TD's to Toledo Pretty galaxy-brain way for the staff to get Sonny Styles to re-class to 2022 and start for us next season
For anyone in town (or coming in for a football game) check out bantam chicken and seafood if you haven’t already. Some of the very best food in the region and it’s just across the street from campus (right next door to Blarney Stone on 23). Chef here worked an Alinea in Chicago, among other amazing spots around the Midwest. We had our rehearsal dinner there and it was amazing. Just got home from dinner there tonight. They have the best chicken sandwich you’ve ever had.
