That’s why I specifically only talked about the hours and days immediately after the attacks and the rescuers and hostages who revolted.

I'm sure there's plenty of politicians across the board who will make the "NEVER FORGET" social media posts tomorrow yet those same ones were on the verge of letting the 9/11 first responders fund expire until Jon Stewart basically shamed them into reupping it. People can do whatever they want to honor whatever but there's so many empty platitudes going on.

Hope people remember the real lessons from whatever tributes and stuff are put forward.

Can’t wait for someone to bring up on a broadcast that if we had a 9/11 every year for 300 years, it still would not equal the amount of deaths we have had from covid in the past 1.5 years and only one of those was largely preventable.

why not instead donate to an actual charity and do something to honor the heroes and lost lives and #neverforget to encourage others to do the same?

I mean fuck people who “do it for the clout” but people should fucking #neverforget, just let them know exactly why they should never forget. Whether it’s to point them towards good causes or remind them of our nation’s own failures.

With how many middle eastern and south asian Americans have talked about how they felt instantly alienated in the aftermath of 9/11 it’s hard to believe the entire country stood as one.
