Been having a lot of fun with BF4. They left vehicles perhaps a little hot but still pretty damn fun overall. But it's really just making the wait for 2042 that much more difficult.
I dunno, I thought BF1 was the best game in the series other than 3. And there was definitely still plenty of bullet drop, the vehicle weapons were much harder to use than other games I thought. Loved the naval maps from the DLCs and the mega bomber. I sometimes fire up BF1 just to get in and carpet bomb people.
Didn’t play bf1 or bf5, but BF:BC2 was so much stupid chaotic fun. BF4 is a close second. Played BF2 and BF 1942 for hundreds and hundreds of hours
That’s just plain awesome 1942 got me started with multiplayer games as a kid. Can’t wait to go back.
The 1942 maps are super sparse compared to modern standards. Waaaay too much open space I was hoping for Kursk tbh. Just nothing but vehicles for everyone
How do you guys think you’ll split time between 2042 on portal? I’ll probably play both on the first day and stay with 2042 for a little while after that. I’ve missed the modern theme too much. I’m sure after a month or so portal will have some great modes going.
I'll be playing all out warfare for a while. I'll dabble in Portal it doesn't interest me as much as conquest.
That users fov is massive and it’s old build of the game. Hope that slide is toned down. From the leaks all the animations I saw were wonky.
Have to agree not a big fan of the specialist system. This isn't Rainbow 6. Having the four classes was enough specialization.
the portal thing seems fun after about a year of getting bored of 2042. imo just make sure this game isnt a fucking disaster before they dabble in the sideshow bullshit. ie Firestorm was a massive waste of money.
Firestorm had so much potential. I enjoyed the bones of it because it was a happy medium between crazy fast paced apex/cod royale and slow paced pubg style royale. The map is great too. Hopefully Hazard Zone is great.
Yeah I loved how it played compared to the others. They just fucked up the base game so bad that they pretended firestorm never happened and never continued to update it
Personally extremely happy they aren't wasting time and resources on a battle royale. Definitely interested to see what Hazard Zone is. I think it's going to be really cool if the leaks are true.
Gun sounds and firefights, apex-esque specialists, soldiers seem so small, revive system, 3rd person assassination/takedown, seems to be no recoil and the guns are static, enemies seem hard to spot similar to BFV, too neon-y, kill feed seems lazy and needs to get changed I get things will change and this in not the final project Hopefully this is accurate
I’m already on the fence about the move to “specialists.” Combine that with no recoil and I’m somewhat hesitant. It’s itching closer to a fast twitch/high ttk shooter which dice seems to be adamant about changing this game too. BFV has elements of that but the low ttk really would force you to think before you move.
I’m just going off the leaked play test footage which is on a months old build. Using the medium and heavy ammo adds some recoil.
Shit looks dope to me. You could normally make lasers of a few guns in BF with attachments so I wouldn’t worry about that. They know realistic Gun physics are a big sell for their franchise
I’m somewhat concerned about the lack of updates and the little actual details we know about the game.
If it needs I agree. Sucks for me though because it was about the only game this fall I was excited about.
Yeah I was really excited for it to release. I'd be happy to see a delay because it means that they learned from some of their mistakes with the last battlefield.
