Wouldn't say it ran fine, there were so many bugs and glitches that weren't fixed and are still in the game
I actually never played it because of the choices they made with the gun leveling system and all that. I had just heard it ran well at launch. At least compared to 4 and BF1. Did it just lack maps?
Lack of maps post launch, factions, weapons, vehicles, gadgets, and cosmetics. How you release a WW2 game and not include the states on launch is baffling. They used the excuse of how they were going to follow a ww2 timeline with post launch content, but that was all a lie.
I got more enjoyment out of finding glitches like full auto AT rifles and one tapping planes with ammo crates than I did with the actual gameplay.
I enjoyed the gameplay. It was a good mix of gunplay and movement. It appears they ditched BFV early on to make 2042 (lol) Most people believed eastern front dlc would show up eventually. Before the writing was on the wall
Alright, engage hate shield since it's griefing My brother and I got bored/fed up with the game and the developers, so we decided to find glitches, ways to team kill, etc. Prior to that, we played quite often across all game types. Just to list off a few: you can kill any airplane, foe or friendly, by throwing an ammo/medic crate in the corner where the wing meets the prop. It either 1hps it or blows it up altogether and the kill feed just says death by accident or as if someone killed themselves. You can camp friendly/enemy airstrip and kill a plane right as it takes off. Hard to kill them in the air unless you have a full squad of 3 shooting and one throwing the crate and the plane has to be feet off the ground. You can team kill friend tanks, AA guns, or pounders. Hard to replicate, but you can medic troll by glitching the syringe and reviving teammates. Once you revive a teammate, their screen just spins and they're stuck in the ground. You can glitch the AT rifles to fire full auto, run up to enemy tanks and one clip them. You can launch boats and tanks, boats will continue to bounce on across water, getting higher each time if you hit the right angles. You can launch out of bounds in Solomon Islands and not die. If you team kill an ally next to a depot, there's a chance their body gets stuck in it and they get the infinite death glitch. You can team kill ally tanks multiple ways. You can launch ally spawn beacons. Launching ally cars to start rounds resulting in 3+ deaths. If you run spawn beacons and sniper decoys, you can place them in front of planes to stop them from moving. Etc
BC2 had some serious issues in my opinion. Chopper strafing without any good ways to bring them down. Some maps would get leveled to the point that there was zero cover. So many maps ended in spawn traps.
I could definitely see that. Scaling this game down for last gen has to be a complicated problem to solve.
Myself and about 7 friends all got XSX’s in anticipation for 2042. The majority of my bfv playtime was on a day one Xbox one. I was blown away when I first played it on next gen. Really adds to the immersion. Pointless post but whatever.
Yeah my whole group all have PS5. Before that I was on a launch PS4. It's a massive difference. But I've also played BF on PC for years. I'm expecting this to be a jump over all of that. 128 will be wild.
People prepaid for this thing literally the minute it was available and that's their attitude. Incredible
How did you do it? I clicked on early access beta and it let me install, but the file was only 10 mb.
Beta build is a few months old. Here are the known issues. https://answers.ea.com/t5/General-D...-Known-Issues/m-p/10802064/highlight/true#M18
The ttk seems about right but the guns feel weak. Not sure how that happens. They’re saying this beta is months old and a lot has changed, but dice isn’t known for truthfulness.
Convoluted control scheme and generally not impressed with the way it looks. I do enjoy having higher elevations, I think both BF I and V both missed that. Also this Map is an absolute unit. Curious to see how they will maintain balance on the largest maps.
Map is huge. Movement speed seems very high for a BF game. Sprint and slide. Gunplay feels pretty good. I like the quick swap attachment system. Very hard to see people. I miss the BF4 spotting system.
Have you guys been able to use the weapon customization thing yet? I hold LB and move the D pad to select optics, but it won't let me change anything. I did clear out the top of that huge building with an iron sight DMR though, that was fun.
