it wasn’t great but I don’t understand people being aggressively angry about it.

 

This. It was a vacuum episode. Wasn’t great but it is what it is. The writers were forced into it. I’ll take the home run from the Christmas episode and the miss on this one all day

 

I know someone that liked this one more than the Christmas episode and it’s thrown me for a loop

 

I enjoyed the episode

 

I thought the episode was fine but I loved the Christmas episode

 

It was fine, but not up to this show’s high standard.

 

Thought it was a bit weird when they romanticized Beards relationship after setting it up all season about how toxic their relationship was.

enjoyed the scene of the guys on the pitch.

 

Spotlight for the 3 fans in the bar was fun. They've been good minor characters and I liked seeing more of them. I really expected much more of a hangover movie kind of wild night so was a little underwhelmed. But I'll take whatever fun lasso content I can get.

The only thing I thought was completely stupid was running into tartt and co. Could have cut that entire part out of at least fight some random person. I was just "really? These guys?" I get that it reinforces beard doesn't think highly of himself...but tartt? Eh.

 

I enjoyed the episode but it helps knowing beforehand that they had to film two standalone episodes.

 

I just generally dislike holiday specials on any series. So this was approximately on par with the xmas special. Not bothered about their existence as I understand the late addition.

Yeah, if we only had 10 episodes and this was one of them, I would have been annoyed on some level. Instead it's more like "they tried something completely different with an extra episode and it wasn't for me, but it was still an episode of Ted Lasso so whatever?"

Anyone listen to Brett Goldstein’s podcast Films To Be Buried With?

He has guests on the talk about the films that mean the most to them. The one with Beard is great. Would recommend any of them.

 

Another 45 minute episode tonight. We're going to end up getting what amounts to 3-4 more episodes than season 1. Longest episodes of season 1 were 34 minutes. 8 of the first 10 this year were 35+, and the last three have all been 43+. I am in favor of this.

 

If they shot it and they think it works with the story, I want to see it. Cut nothing for time reasons. Nothing.

 

Damn. I’ve said it before but this show has no business being this good
