saying they are phoebes drawings but only to get roy to take them when they are actually her own self-portraits would be an all-time move by the teacher. But he did not see artwork by phoebe at first which prompted her. So ill just assume its actually phoebe.
Fuck Nate. Sam is the fucking man. Nice touch that he has an electric car after the oil thing. It’s going to be sad when he goes, but also will feel really good knowing he is living his dreams. Roy is just so fucking funny. The teacher thing could have just been a setup for jokes and the confession, but I feel like it’s going to come back around in an ugly way. Team S2 Did a dry spit take at “here’s one with no shit in it” at the bar. Need a Dani Rojas feature episode.
I don’t think they’re going to do him dirty like that. I think his pain will be relationship based or maybe he loses his father. They made sure to show him talking to him.
I didn’t even make that connection. Higgins said he was a “tech” billionaire right? I don’t think he had anything to do with oil.
It's hard for me to compare because I binged season 1 and I'm watching this weekly. It's just a different viewing experience when you have a wait a week between episodes. With that said, I struggle watching some of the awkward things from this season, in particular with Ted. I much prefer this week's version of Ted to the guy we've seen much of this season. The Sam/Rebecca thing has also been a downer for me. I still think this season is very good, but as it's gone on I kind of prefer the story of season 1 to some of what we've had this year. Roy has been phenomenal this season, though, which really helps s2.
looks great. It’s just thick as it can be. Would be great for northern areas but I’m going to sweat my ass off in Florida.
I don't think they sell Sam. They gave him a ton of screen time this season and that would be the end of him then. It would be sort of realistic at least considering the potential transfer fee.
Its also hard to tell just how good he is. Like is he good enough to be a top half back in the Premiership or just a great one in the Championship? If hes better than what they can sign he is worth keeping because they probably don't want to get relegated again.
Yes, but from a real life standpoint he also likely wouldn't be in a romantic relationship with the owner and had a direct impact on getting rid of a major sponsor. LOL.
I think he goes and they split to him and eventually find some weird international soccer way to play against Casablanca
Also they meant to say Africa will win one of the next 20 world cups…and not one in the next 20 years. Right? Right?
nah he was saying he would make soccer so big in Africa they'd have a country win one in the next 20 years
No he meant by bringing the best African pros back to the continent it will inspire development in African nations and an African national team will win the World Cup within 20 years. Glad I could clear that up for everyone.
It’s like you guys forget that the entire show is based on the totally plausible premise of an EPL club hiring a FCS football coach who knows nothing about the sport without ever even meeting him just to run the franchise into the ground in the wake of a bitter divorce.
Afuko said that Sam was the fourth person who knows he’s buying Casablanca. Do we think Rupert and Nathan are the other two?
Akufo came across as genuine to me. If Rupert is involved then there are so many more implications including that he may have knowledge of Rebecca and Sam and he is trying to fuck them over. That seems like a bridge too far for me as if Akufo is who he says he is then he has no use for Rupert.
I don't think at this point Nathan is in bed with anyone. Just his own ego. Rupert I'm sure stirred him up saying something like you should be the head man or something but don't think he offered him anything. Plus Rupert isn't going to buy a Moroccan team.
The guy who bought out a museum and filled it with actors has no use for the kinda-rich old white guy who isn't as rich as him. If anything he should want to squash Rupert.
maybe it was a writing continuity error, but I bumped on something with Akufo. At first he says his main desire is to break up his father's empire and make the world a better place. 10 minutes later, he wants to build a soccer empire on Morocco. It's either a continuity error, or Akufo isn't what he seems.
Still a billionaire. He isn't giving away his fortune. And in his mind an African country winning a WC is virtuous.
this is the likely explanation. I just made the mistake in assuming that he was going to use the fortune for charity purposes rather than building up the sport in Africa. I completely agree. Hence why my first thought was continuity error.
