The EU is kind of low key planning regional defense without the US now, and is starting to put out feelers about a European Army. UK (Tories especially but Labour is almost as bad) are just Washington’s lap dogs. Japan has greatly expanded its “self defense” force in the last decade.
Our list of allies is sort of a dynamic thing, isn’t it? We pretty much ran the good ones off over 4 years and replaced them with authoritarians. I think the countries that should be/need to be our allies are gravely concerned.
