As posted above that kid seems like a classic Iowa/Wisconsin type player. I assume the plan is play him at OLB? He looks athletic enough and the clips I’ve seen him playing QB at Millard South he doesn’t look like he’s afraid of contact. What does he play on D right now? Assuming he plays both sides.
On paper probably not, but the times I’ve seen him play he appears to be pretty athletic and has a solid frame/looks to be pretty strong for his size. Will need to develop, but I don’t mind the plan of taking some athletic guys that aren’t afraid to hit and getting them at LB. Also, I think the KSU staff has some good coaches so I’ll trust what they saw as well.
I figured he played safety and the plan is to move him to LB, like Gifford. I don’t hate that plan if the guys athletic and can hold up physically. It was either the Bell West or Millard West game but the dude had a few big runs from QB and just kept trucking guys.
These weren’t the plays but two examples of him running over a dude at the goal line. Lol at the “oh my god” in the 2nd one. Not sure why the first tweet is two videos but it’s the second video.
Was just texting my dad and literally said “this isn’t a bad kid to get if the class wasn’t already full of the same type of player”
Unfortunately I would assume this means they know there’s not many other guys interested for 2022. Not that it’s breaking news, but yeah.
I’ve made multiple posts the last couple weeks specifically talking about how the recruiting alone is enough reason to not keep the staff around. My comment on this guy not being THAT bad was supposed to stand on its own. I wasn’t trying to say he salvaged the 2022 class or anything like that.
It’s hilarious that this is my “rep”. I’m known among all of my IRL friends as the most negative/pessimistic Husker fan. I don’t like Frost, I don’t think he will get it done, as I’ve said before I would have fired him after the Illinois game and let Chinander takeover for the rest of 2021. It might come off like I’m giving them the benefit of the doubt but I guess that’s not really my intention. I try to be rational/realistic but also don’t want to be blindly negative (like I was in Bo era) because the blindly positive fans annoy me too. It’s like I said after NW, personally I can enjoy that game and be happy with the performance, but know it was a bad team and there’s still a million things to prove. Usually when I make a positive post, I’m really just referring to that specific event, and not letting it cloud my overall outlook on Frost and the staff. Which I know 99% of the fans can’t do, so I could see why you don’t give me the benefit of the doubt
BWC would be proud to know how many times I’ve said “but they still lost so who cares” this week when discussing the Michigan game.
There’s no reason at all to be positive about a single recruit in whatever it is this staff is doing with this recruiting class.
Don’t disagree at all. Honestly I was just trying to say the kid has size, appears to be athletic, and not afraid to hit anyone. The best part is I originally had “I trust the KSU staff more than ours in terms of evaluating talent”, but I deleted it to not come off overly negative haha
lol yes. Sometimes I think getting unhealthy levels of riled up over the “fan” shit this thread used to experience, has scarred me for life.
It’s seriously impressive how we find ways to lose game. We can take solace in knowing that Nebraska loses better than anyone.
I was saying to a friend the other day that it’s insane how terrible the 2-4 minute offense looks considering the Frost offense is supposed to be quick/uptempo. So many times the OL immediately folds and we lose 9 yards with a running clock, Martinez looks lost, there’s a weird play call, or the personnel decision is random. It’s all a mess. Pretty sure Betts didn’t get on the field the last two drives vs Michigan. I know it’s not as easy as telling a dude run as fast as you can but you’d think you’d want an explosive guy like that out there.
Betts needs to be on the field for one simple reason alone. If it’s 3rd or 4th down and Martinez needs to chuck one up because the line call was wrong, or it’s a bad play call, or the blitz is about to get home you are going to want your best wr at high-pointing the ball and making a play on the throw and pray method.
Believe this is Chinander’s dad. https://www.kimt.com/content/news/One-killed-in-Butler-County-truck-crash-575533231.html
Kozeal kid from Millard South is an awesome baseball prospect. Picking between Oregon State, Vandy, UNC, Arkansas, and Notre Dame soon. His dad coached me in little league. I did not turn out as good as his son.
Feeling unknown And you're all alone Throwing the bones By the telephone Lift up the receiver I'll make you a Boleaver Scoot is second best Put him to the test Things on his chest He needs to confess I will deliver You know I'm a forgiver Reach out, Husk faith Reach out, Husk faith
Are we Huskin’ today or nah? I feel like we’ll either creampie the Goofers but not as bad as Northwestern, maybe more like 35-10, or it will be another excruciating one possession loss, with no real in between possibility.
