Cincy fucking rolling. Can't wait to see how the committee is going to justify leaving them out of the CFP this year.
3rd and 3 and we go all vertical. Very Gus play call. Especially when we've been destroying them short
This year? TBH, it is very possible they could be. One of the 4 most deserving? So far this season, absolutely.
I think I'd take UGA, Bama, OSU, and OU with Caleb Williams over them right now. Probably a couple other B10 teams too.
With what we've seen this year, who outside of UGA has been consistently good? I think they very well could be undefeated even with a P5 schedule.
I really haven't watched them much this year outside of some of the ND game. It's pretty much the same team they had last year though, right?
Consistently good is a much bigger issue when you don’t have gimme games 10x a year. I certainly think this is a pretty wide open field outside of UGA, but I don’t think Cinci is close to one of the 4 best teams in the country.
You can only play who is on your schedule and they are rolling through theirs. If I think of like this, "are there 4 teams in college football that I am certain would beat Cincy right now?" The answer is no, there isn't.
OU has been begging to lose all season long. The minute they play a defense that slows them down they're toast. OSU , OU and Bama are all good-to-very good teams, but not your typical playoff caliber teams in other years. Usually you have 3 teams that clearly stand out and then someone like Notre Dame as the sacrificial lamb.
I get you can only play who’s on your schedule, though I don’t think that should count for much considering 10+ P5 teams would go undefeated with it too.
I think Ohio State is really good fwiw. Defense still has some issues, but the offense is a juggernaut when running on all cylinders.
I think OU with Williams is a different animal, but we'll obviously see on that one going forward. I think OSU and Bama would take Cincy down fairly easily.
What the fuck is this horseshit giving Arkie 2 fucking first downs that were both clearly short and then not even measure?
And Cincy is up 28-0 with 4:00 left in the first half and just intercepted the ball again. It isn't like they are just barely winning, for the most part they are destroying the teams they should and beat a solid ND team pretty convincingly.
I think Cinci is closer to Auburn and Arkansas than they are to the teams you’ve previously mentioned.
I'm just saying that I'd like to see them get the chance to prove that one way or the other and this is probably the best season for that to happen of any year since the CFP inception.
Not sure ND is much more than decent this year. It was a good win for Cinci, but 24-13 over a team that struggled with FSU and Toledo doesn’t move the needle much.
Neutral site, I'd probably take them over both, but yeah, I agree they're probably closer to that level than they are to the top 4 or 5 teams.
