Brighton would be a great spot between current roster and manager imo. Would prefer Bundesliga but not Wolfsburg or anywhere else where he’s not going to play.
kdlf and dest could’ve covered themselves in glory this weekend, but both missed the frame from close range that probably should’ve found the back of the net and given their teams the lead
Don't think he fits Liverpool tactically, but I'm sure the owners are looking for the next US star after whiffing on Pulisic
Nobody out there is Bob Firmino. From a USMNT perspective I hope he goes to Dortmund or Ajax or one of those. I don’t think him going to Liverpool would be bad for him though. Klopp gave an 18 year old a place in the XI to start the season based on merit ahead of full internationals.
Obviously joking but I really can't wait until we get (hopefully) so good that we can start to entrench regional biases into national team selection. Stock up now for the future of USMNT cringe twitter.
Like Spain won, but it was full of Catalans/Spain ain't shit without Catalonia, but the college football recruiting north, west, and also west coast arguments.
USMNT was 30% Texas. But 70% of minutes went to players from the Northeast Well, you went by Northeast, but it's actually anything north of the mason-dixon and east of the Mississippi and technically you're just grouping together the mid-west, mid-Atlantic, and New England, but included Maryland which is factually south of the mason-dixon
Midweek action Wes starting but Juve down 1-0 at half Dest starting at RW again and Barca down 1-0 in the 36th Hoppe on bench Aaronson on bench Musah on bench for their match starting at 2
This is one of the reasons I think we need him in the lineup. We don’t score enough during the run of play to not include a guy who can be dominant on set pieces.
judging only on the alerts I get from following him on Fotmob it appears CCV is playing quite well this season
I'm just going by twitter, which I know can be sketchy, but I don't really trust those ratings either.
I think the whoscored/fotmob stats are less valuable for defenders. They don’t really measure positional play, which is of course so important. I’d say they’re more valuable over the course of a season but can be super misleading in a small sample size like an individual game.
I guess that’s fair but I rarely find myself watching a match and see large discrepancies. While not exact, typically if there’s a decent gap between guys in the defense, it matches up to what you saw
I’ve been a huge Scally fan and think he needs to be called in, he did well today, but that Twitter is way overreacting and overrating. Thought he was a lot better in the 1-1 draw to start the season where he was maybe the best player
100% agree, and find it really frustrating for attacking players as well who may have terrible positioning that is clogging lanes but happens to luck into a rebound tap in and all of a sudden they get a 6.5 or 7.
