Goddam it. I've been spared this scourge for years. Now I just found that Hallmark Channel got added to YouTubeTV somewhere along the line, and I'm sitting here watching something called One Royal Christmas. I'll bet beneath the stuffy exterior of that crown prince there's a real sweet guy just waiting to fall in love with some perky American ploughman's daughter.
I don’t like that Hallmark tries to tell girls the best thing in the world is a monarchy, it really bothers me
My wife called me in a state of glee only those in this thread will understand to let me know that these hallmark channels had been added to yttv.
LMAO, I was on the couch last night flipping through the YouTube TV channels while the wife is on the other end, scrolling through her phone. She's legit not even paying attention, or so I thought. Scroll down past Hallmark Channel (who knew it was added...) and "Christmas in Reindeer Forrest" and boom - the wife's fully alert. She asks if we can watch it...just for a little bit. Then 10 minutes later she's in the bedroom watching it by herself.
But how would you know it's not if you've never been in love with a Prince of a small, yet wealthy, country somewhere in Europe?
This one is my wife's favorite. It made me sad to see Pat from Heavyweights having to resort to being a supporting character in a Hallmark Christmas movie, he deserves better.
I don’t think he’s been mentioned in here but I apologize in advance if so. I came downstairs from putting our son to bed and a wild Vincent Chase appears on A Christmas in Graceland: Home for the Holidays. That career sure took a turn…
If you can sit through more than 30 minutes of the new Amy Teegarden "Are You My Daddy?" movie, you're a man of great intestinal fortitude. My wife doesn't even last as long as I can on this newest batch of cinematic tripe. She liked the Lea Thompson time travel one though, I haven't seen it. Other new ones are really bad, even against their older peer movies. I would pay good money for a new by-the-numbers Victor Webster/Jill Wagner rehash that knows better than having a plot - Hallmark can't handle topics like genetic testing or believable racial integration.
I honestly couldn’t tell you. I’m pretty sure it involved time travel on a magical train, though. One down, two to go.
Ok, get this A big city "food stylist" returns to her small home town and finds out her favorite hometown bakery is having a contest to see who can best re-create the bakeries famous 12 days of Christmas menu. She enters and is forced to join forces with her rival chef, who just happens to be a good looking male. I can smell a romance brewing.
I recently TMB'ed through "Brooke Shields buys a Scottish castle at Christmastime" or words to that effect. Truly a magical evening.
It was so bad even ladyFrez commented on the awfulness. I have to wonder if the kitsch is part of the fun for the actors? They can't take it seriously, right?
Watched A Christmas Movie Christmas on Hulu a few nights ago. Both the best and worst Hallmarkian movie ever. Also knocked out No Sleep Til Christmas this week. I give it a 7 out of 10. I’m looking forward to drowning myself in Netflix Christmas bangers this week. The California Christmas movies have to be winners.
Not hallmark specific been watching some decent Christmas related movies this week Serendipity Just friends Four Christmases
