Merrimack, Lehigh and NJIT are playing some of the best basketball in the country. Nothing to be ashamed of.
Merrimack’s only loss is to us. And NJIT’s only 2 losses are to us and Merrimack. And Lehigh’s only losses are to us, Merrimack, and NJIT. So it is completely posible that these are the four best teams in the nation right now.
Bought Herve a beer in Olde Queens the night he banked in that game winner against Carmelo & 'Cuse. He came in with a buddy for package goods. It was the first time I ever saw a player in any sport out at the bars while they were in season. Just never happened when I was an actual student in the 90's. They stuck strictly to frat & house parties in season in those days. Herve essentially said he was confident in the shot but didn't expect it to catch glass. Sadly, me and my buddies who had just come from the game and maybe one or two other people in their late 20's at the time recognized him or gave a shit that he was there. He hung out with us for a few and was out the door. Nice guy.
We're pretty fucked when we get into big ten play. Cliff can't stay out of foul trouble. Ralph is the same height as Mulcahy and can't get a shot off.
Game comes down to the DePaul hitting 2/3 before half after he launched himself into one of our guys and the phantom reach-in/missed travel late that they hit 2/2
Absolutely brutal…can’t buy a layup let alone a 3. Meanwhile, any scrub can snipe one from 35’ against us
With about 2 minutes left I explained to my wife how we would take the lead with about 20 seconds left and give up a basket at the buzzer. Holy shit was that an awesome, non Rutgers way to end a game
